I really wanted to like it. I've spent a couple of weeks wanting to try taco bell, just never had the opportunity or time however the opportunity presented itself tonight and I raced down to get a crunch wrap meal with steak and a double taco meal also with steak as they had run out of mince and also some of their corn chips. I ordered and was given the wrong change, no worries they rectified it by giving me the wrong change again although this time it was only $1, it's late, I get it and the guy serving was lovely so I left it. I got my order and couldn't wait to get home and try it. When I checked the bag there was a random cheesy roll in there as a bonus so I quickly downed that while I was driving home, in hindsight I should have thrown the bag out straight after. This roll was eye wateringly salty, I'm European and so I love me some salt on everything, snacks, meals, dessert, you name it! But holy guacamole this thing was just pure melted salt wrapped in a tortilla. Fast forward to the feast, the chips were right down at the bottom of the bag under everything else, soggy but I can forgive that as I prefer them that way. The seasoning on the chips was the only thing I'll give them credit for. My partner opened his tacos and one came with zero tomato and the other with about a half teaspoon serve of them if you squinted really hard. The shell was crunchy but the steak inside was salty as hell and resembled that of something you'd find in a can. I've never experienced a steak and sauce combo where you couldn't tell the difference between the consistency of either. My crunchwrap was borderline inedible, first there was no crunch, the tostada inside was soggy and the salt content was out of this world and again the steak had the consistency of whatever sauce it was mixed with. There was zero substance to it and it resembled more of a slop than strips of steak. I forced myself to eat half of my crunchwrap before I just couldn't go on any further and wrapped it back up and threw it the bag and put into the trash. I'm giving this a 1 star review as the only good part of my experience was the guy who served me. Well that and I can't put...
Read moreTo the owner: FIRE THIS MANAGER! FIRE THE STAFF! Update: NEVER go here! The current owners and staff are TERRIBLE! Cold food is stale and warm, hot food is cold, wait tines in excess of an hour in store! Hair in the food frequently! Staff are rude! 0/10 will NEVER go to a taco bell again!
Old review from 2023 (to show how bad it is now) Just had the basic crunchy taco to give it a go, enjoyed very much. Given the US reputation of taco bell I didn't know what to expect (good/bad) but was pleasantly surprised. The flavour was nice, meat was hot, salad was cold, taco was crunchy. Can't fault it.
Given the price, this is the first Mexican themed item I have seen sold in Australia that offers any value. GYG and TBill's are overpriced & disgusting, respectively.
If you want a McDonald's cheeseburger, skip it and get a crunchy taco instead. Way more satisfying and interesting. Cheaper, too.
Will update as I try more of the menu.
Update 1: tried supreme taco with steak. Fantastic, tasted really REALLY good. Salad was ice cold, meat was piping hot. $4. Added a star to the review to make 5....
Read moreWhen I tell you this is the best fast food experience I've ever had, I am not exaggerating. I came in on 30/5/23 at around 2pm and got a double crunchwrap Supreme chicken, a regular chips, large frozen mountain dew and creamy jalapeño mayo on the side. I was the only car in the drive thru and had to wait 10 minutes which from my past taco bell experiences was a little slow, but that was perfectly fine because they made every item as fresh as can be and to perfection. The chips were hot, seasoned so perfectly and just the right amount of crunch. The sauce and drink were filled properly and boy, the double crunchwrap Supreme was to perfection. Just the right ratios of everything, wrapped perfectly with topping to the brim without it falling apart. I know this probably isn't procedure but if you're the manager or owner reading this you'd better not be mad at them because this experience alone will make me a return customer for life. Love this taco bell, all the staff that were on...
