Big Names means nothing if the food) service/ atmosphere is/are lacking. Teekaway Delight, a small Eatery offering Malaysian Cuisines is a place to visit.....friendly proprietor, easy to talk with and provides 👍 service. Two ceiling fans are strategically positioned circulating the cool air from the aircon thus enabling diners to enjoy their meals in comfort. Had the Saturday Special.....fried rice with chunky chicken chop 😋! The meal include a cold drink - a concoction of longan + water chestnuts+ stripe of sugarcane. Very pleased with the chicken chop which is rather big in size, non-oily. The meat was tender and crispy!!! Easily accessible by bus (Nos: 207) and the Bus Stop is just Infront of the Eatery. Other dishes include noodles (soup/dry), nasi lemak, roti canai etc. Mixed Rice is also available and will revisit the Eatery to...

Best KL Hokkien Mee outside of KL! It’s dark with delightful bits of lard. The Wat Dan Hor had lots of wok hei (charred smokiness as can be seen in the photo). Generous portion of tender pork and prawn coated with silky egg sauce. For those missing economy mixed rice, there’s plenty to choose from. The cooking tastes like home. This place also serves home-cooked barley water, soy bean milk and snow fungus with longan. There’s also assorted nonya kuih. Very friendly family-run business. Come in and say hello to Kevin and Esther. Can’t wait to try their Wanton Kolo Mee and Nasi Lemak next. Daily Lunch Specials are a steal at $15...

One of the best, authentic Malaysian KL Hokien mee in Melbourne! 🙌 This dish brings me back to my home town in Kuala Lumpur as it’s so rich in flavor, especially the sauce. The noodles are just the right texture and it’s fried just right that it has enough wok hei “wok’s breath”. 5/5 dish and definitely coming back. The nasi lemak with fried chicken was very good too. The coconut rice is so fluffy and the chicken is fried very well and very delicious. The pan mee is good too. Overall very good Malaysian food and friendly staff. Place a bit small so make sure to come in early!...
