This cosy little cafe really took us by surprise. We decided to visit after stopping in to browse the sandwich bar a few weeks back and were met by the most lovely staff. After already deciding to revisit the cafe properly when we had more time, we were not disappointed in the slightest when the girls were so fun and welcoming on our return visit

The cafe itself is so warm and inviting with a cute, casual but classy decor. Coupled with the groovy tunes that have you singing along as you wait for your food, the overall atmosphere is bright but chill

The ricotta hotcakes were the perfect balance of sweet and savoury that provided not only the most exquisite experience for your taste buds, but also a tantalising mouth feel

The pad Thai was more of the same with a very generous portion of perfectly cooked noodles, juicy chicken, the most satisfying mix of textures, and a scrumptious sauce to noodle ratio that is indescribably moreish

We picked two of the fancy shakes. I had to appease my inner child and order a sugar coma in a mason jar decorated with cavities. It was equally as tasty as it was fascinating to look at. The floss is delicious and not unbearably sweet at all. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was not too much to stomach. Would recommend to anyone looking to treat their inner child or those with external ones seeking something special with their lunch

The coffees were divine. I went out of my usual comfort zone and risked ordering an espresso and I could not have been more pleased. If ever there was a time to drink your coffee black, it is at this absolutely delightful little hidden...

TL;DR: this cafe needs to change its food safety handling and service practices in the kitchen or retrain kitchen staff to understand food safety On Thursday 4th of January at around 2pm, I went to this cafe with my mates on a whim and had a below average experience, the vibes of the place are nice and inviting but the drinks are way too overpriced. I ordered a regular (the smallest size) iced chai latte which was $8.90, and was charged an extra $1 for oat milk (I’ve never seen a cafe charge more than 50¢). When I was served the latte, it had a dollop of ice cream that was just plopped in the drink which was not mentioned on the menu or by the server when I requested alternative milk. When I asked to have it without, myself and my friends all saw the kitchen staffer pour some of the drink down the sink, scoop out the remaining ice cream, and pour some oat milk in to make the difference. My friend had to request they make it again because I can’t have lactose. I’d also like to mention the “chai” they used was a brown liquid in an unlabeled 2L milk container with “CHAI” written on it in marker. This container was seemingly being kept under the kitchen bench unrefrigerated. I have literally never seen this standard of food handling and practice in my life - in and outside of my work in hospitality. The staff we interacted with seemed to act really weird and off when we questioned the ice cream like it’s standard for iced lattes to come with ice cream? Seems like poor management or poor training at this cafe. Thoroughly disappointed,...

Always liked this place. Super local for us. BEVS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CONSISTENTLY GOOD. Fav caffeinated bev is almond mocha with vegan cocoa (have to ask for it) and shot of syrup. Fav non caffeinated bev is almond turmeric chai latte with shot of honey - BEST loose leaf TURMERIC CHAI you'll ever have! Really nice place for peeps who have dietary intolerances (gluten and dairy for us). One of the only cafes that have a delish selection of GLUTEN FREE, DAIRY FREE, AND SOY FREE CAKES! Manager Gina is very upbeat and accommodating. Once, our UberEats order had the wrong cake added to it. Called the store. Gina apologised, and said pop by when convenient for a free replacement. Did so and she gave TWO cakes! Amazing service. Shout-out to new trainee Alex too. He served us on a Sat around midday and was so upbeat and cheery, even though our bevs weren't super standard and it was the end of his shift. He did an awesome job and all with a great demeanor and smile. TOILETS have always seemed CLEAN too, which usually says something good about a cafe/restaurant's overall standard when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene. STAFF have always seemed pretty HAPPY too, which is also a good indicator as to the overall standard of service....

I looked around for places for brunch. And being very happy to be able to find this hidden star. I usually go to Fitzroy and Brunswick for quality meals. Didn’t realize that it could be such an inspiring experience near home. I chose the salad for a healthy light lunch. Was a bit worried that it might not fill me. But with the right amount of carbs: potato and pumpkin it’s actually filling. The pumpkin did not let me down. The quality is rly good as it’s so ripe and sweet. And it’s toasted to perfect. I like the combination of brown rice and green lentils with seeds. With the first bite, I felt like ohhh this is interesting because of the various texture. Anyway it’s a nice and fun balance. With the name of the dish you would expect a bit of Eastern touch. It did live up to it. The beetroot hummus is tap to the wall of the bowl. And it looks like a thick Chinese brush stroke. The mix of rainbow like plating is rly inviting.

My companion and I had breakfast here. Pictured is the Brekkie Bruschetta, a delicious pan fried cauliflower, asparagus, halloumi, mushrooms, capsicum, tomato, rainbow baby carrots, pickled onion, poached eggs on toasted ciabatta with basil pesto and balsamic glaze, while I went for the Crushed Avocado That's avocado mixed with quinoa topped with tomatoes, marinated feta, seeds, radish, and pomegranate served on toasted ciabatta with poached eggs and house made minted capsicum chutney (minus the eggs). The food was delicious and the service was good too. The meal with 2 coffees came to $50. For those with a four legged friend, they also have a menu for dogs, which I thought was a nice touch.
