A huge dining space with impressive, well lit, tall vaulted wood beam ceiling in a converted warehouse. Its 'edgy industrial' ambiance provides a sensory experience to one dining at the venue: the aesthetics of the creative mural artwork & interior decor is appealing. Furthermore, pleasantly surprised to find a reasonable large-size pergola design dining courtyard out the back. Our first visit menu (now with a QR code): limited ... ahhh!!! no doubt less decision fatigue for customers. The menu created enough of an impression so that it stays with us long after the waiter walked off with it. The menu caters (may I say) to the most sophisticated palate, offering a range of breakfast & lunch favourites; also choosing the right beverage to round off one's meal. Quite a selection of specially selected quality hot & cold drinks, cocktails, beer & wine to complement one's menu choice. Aside, cakes & sandwiches are on display at the counter available for takeaway & dine-in. Nevertheless, when the meals arrived, one could see & much appreciated: dedicated thoughts were put into them. The dining experience definitely created an opportunity to indulge in tastes, scents & texture that one wishes nourish & nurture. Truly, there is a recall value in one's mind as a customer. At other times, when busy: the friendly staff appeared to rush off their feet & looked stress much to our dismay!!! Our "feelgood" vibes just went out the door.

Updated review 10/06/2023: Yet again it was difficult to get service. Coffee was excellent, food was yummy but portion sizes were very small. My avocado toast (pictured) set me back $22.50 (plus 10% weekend surcharge), and only had one small piece of toast. It was disappointing when it was placed in front of me, on such an unnecessarily large plate too. 3/5 stars. PS it looks like the beef burger is no longer on the menu unfortunately. Original review 07/11/2020: While it took a few minutes for someone to notice us as we waited at the front, we were promptly taken to our reserved table. We all enjoyed our meals - I had the beef burger (pictured), friends had the salmon bowl and big breakfast - and coffee was fine. Our outside table was sitting on a slight angle and a bit wobbly (fixed by wedging something under a table leg) but due to space and capacity restrictions I know they are just doing the best they can. Was a lovely first lunch out for us since restrictions started easing. Will be back. 5/5 stars.

Friends and I were fortunate to spend three hours at the Bakers Wife having made a reservation [despite being told after everyone arrived at the table that we only had an hour and a half window to be there]. I am grateful we had the time we had, as although meals were beautiful and worth the wait, the wait was around 40 minutes. What was disappointing about today was the lack of service. I don't feel there was a lack of staff, and I understand the challenges all businesses are facing with the current climate, even as the restaurant emptied out, our empty plates etc sat at our table for 1.5 hours before the first were cleared, and they didn't return to clear the remainder. And although I look forward to returning as it is a beautiful place to be and meet, I am not looking forward to returning to the bathrooms. They may indeed be cleaned during a normal busy lunch period, they certainly could have been today when around a hundred or more are dining and there are only a couple of toilets. Overall - attentive staff, delicious food, lovely surroundings however room for improvement.... Thank you. x

ORDERED: 🥚 Chilli scrambled eggs: on ciabatta, tempura enoki, crisp shallots, miso mayo & char-grilled Kaiser bacon ($24.00) 🍊 Orange juice ($9.00) + weekend surcharge (10%) + card surcharge (1.5%) I paid $36.30 here! REVIEW: ❤ I love the combination of ingredients in the chilli scrambled eggs. I'm talking about fatty savoury bacon, hot creamy scrambled eggs, crispy carmelised shallots and the light fried enoki. The combinations worked well and I was full by the end of it! I would get this again because as brunch food - it was elite. ✨ 💻 Thankfully we can book online in advance. If my friend didn't do it, we would've waited for 30 mins on Saturday morning. They try their best to mange the flow and the staff are constantly moving. If you catch their eye, they're happy to come over and assist. The space I was sitting at was tight. My umbrella and bag got knocked down as the server came by, but I was able to remedy that by placing it at my feet. 🪑

This place is really spacious and got a backyard with plenty of seats. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and there was quite a lot of ppl(but no queues) There are a range of food choices and drinks also. Tried the chop chop salad with tuna and beef burger. The portion and price were reasonable. Burger bun was crispy but soft inside, patty was juicy Fries were ordinary with ordinary ketchup I can say The salad comes with a soft boiled egg and sauce was put aside as I requested. They gave me the whole can of tuna literally to add in by myself 😂 We also ordered long black and flat white which was a normal one, nth surprising. The staff was nice and friendly, I saw many ppl buying pastries takeaway and it seems deli but we’re very full already after the lunch, so maybe I’ll try it next time. This is really a good place to hav lunch with friends or families that we can seat comfortably and hav a nice talk.

Maybe they were having an "off" day but this cafe was very disappointing. We arrived fairly early when there were only a couple of tables occupied , though they were doing a brisk takeaway trade. We waited a long time to be seated, a very long time to order -impossible to catch the waiters eye, he took orders for tables that arrived after us though. We had to ask for water, ask for sugar twice, our food came out and we hadn't been given cutlery. I got the flatbread eggs, which was alright, quite nice but not fantastic. The floor was so sticky it sounded like ripping Velcro when we walked, other customers were talking about it too, not sure if this is usual. Don't think we'll be back.
