I've been coming to Rama Thai for years. It's a favourite for me as far as the food is concerned, but as far as the service goes, well that's another story. They feel so much with take out while patrons sit inside waiting for ages and ages for anything to come out. It’s very unfair how they work that.
I ordered the Golden Canape, which is deep fried marinated chicken on bread (toast) with a chilli sauce. Let me tell you; these are HEAVENLY. They are SO good. I haven't seen these on any other Thai restaurant menus (and I go to Thai places a lot). They're delicious and I could almost eat them as main meal too, lol. For my main, I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice (of course). This was delicious too and made according to my modification requests.
I did find it bad that the waitress didn't know answers to questions about the food on the specials board. That's something staff should be trained in. But the food is delicious and really tasty and if you don't mind slow service at times, this is a restaurant I...
Read moreRema Thai on Burke Road isn't just a restaurant; it's a portal to flavour country!
Their massaman lamb? Forget sublime, it's downright divine! Each tender chunk melts in your mouth like a buttery dream, coated in a sauce so rich and flavourful, you'll want to bathe in it (note to self: don't bathe in it).
And the sauces! Oh, the glorious sauces! Each one is a masterpiece, a symphony of spices and herbs that'll have your taste buds doing the tango.
But wait, there's more! Their coconut rice is fluffy perfection, the roti is crispy and chewy, and the curry puffs are little pockets of happiness.
And the staff? They're not just friendly, they're practically your new best friends. They'll treat you like royalty, even if you show up in your pajamas (again, note to self: maybe don't wear pajamas).
In short, Rema Thai is the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, the... you get the idea. It's amazing. Go there. Eat everything....

Ordered a pad Thai which tasted like noodles dunked in (invisible) tomato ketchup - not at all palatable, and the basil was cut in tiny 1 cm shreds (about 7 in the dish). I get that basil is expensive, but to include microscopic portions like this is ridiculous. My wife ordered the pad see ew which had a huge uncooked chunk of cauliflower and a carrot which had a green coloured centre. Overall, extremely disappointing and this forced me to leave my first-ever one star review. I definitely won’t be...
