I recently had the displeasure of visiting the Coffee Club Spencer St Outlet Centre and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. By far the worst coffee club or cafe that I've been to, in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a manager who was rude and condescending, showing no willingness to accommodate my dietary requirements. This set the tone for the rest of my visit.

The staff were equally unprofessional, walking past dirty tables without a second thought and slamming plates of food onto the table. This was not only rude but also disruptive to other customers. Despite my repeated attempts to get the attention of the staff, they seemed disinterested in their job and unwilling to provide any form of customer service.

The food itself was a huge letdown. The dishes were bland and overpriced, offering little value for money. To make matters worse, the cafe is situated next to a toilet and a car park, exposing customers to unpleasant exhaust fumes. This was a huge turn-off for me and added to the overall negative experience.

It was clear that the Coffee Club Spencer St Outlet Centre is more concerned with exploiting travelers than providing a quality dining experience. The prices were exorbitant, especially considering the poor quality of the food and service. I was shocked and disappointed, and feel that there are far better options in Melbourne for those looking for a good cafe and a friendly atmosphere. Melbourne is the King city when it comes to coffee. Don't bother going to this substandard place.

In conclusion, I would not recommend the Coffee Club Spencer St Outlet Centre to anyone. The poor service, rude staff, and unpleasant atmosphere are enough to deter even the most patient of customers. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different cafe...

I have been to multiple Coffee Clubs around the country and NZ and this is by far the worst Coffee Club, nay "Cafe" I have been to.

Firstly, Coffee Club Southern Cross' website stated they open at 08:00. When we arrived at 08:00, the server indicated they only opened at 08:30. When questioned about the opening times on the website, the server got agitated and stated it was a public holiday. So there was misrepresentation and unprofessional behaviour from the onset. Several customers were turned away. Apparently Coffee Club can afford to turn away business, and, they are doing us a favour by serving us, looking at the attitude.

When we were eventually allowed to order and have a seat, they tables and surrounds were dirty, to be nice about it.

The coffee was served in a dirty cups and the food wasn't even warm. Poached eggs looked boiled, was over cooked

Absolutely the worst experience I have had at a Coffee Club or cafe/restaurant.

Great example of destroying a...

BAD BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE 👎 HER NAME IS ELLA ( blonde hair and wearing glasses) I normally go there with my son to have some break and lunch. This time when we went to there witht he promotion (3 free coffee to try new beans). There are not any conditions to say any minimum spending to claim it on their email. When we went there and order my son's babychino. She just said " You think an get $6 coffee for free with babychino. I can try but it won't work with. " UNBELIEVABLE! How she talks. My first visit I order some meal with the voucher. So I thought I miss the condition on their email. So I have called customer service to confirm and complain about ELLA's attitude and customer service. The operator clearly toldme" I don't have to order anything to claim the voucher. I can simply go there and grab free coffee. " Really upset and don't wanna go back there again. There are millions of cafe in mel. I don't wanna wasting my money...

I am a big fan of The Coffee Club as I tried them outside of Australia (UAE to be more specific) and they are amazing there... however I wouldn't say the same thing about this particular branch. It's located after the the food court, so it won't give you the look & feel of a café. I ordered the Smashed Avo on Sourdough, served with dressed rocket, lemon & pumpkin seeds... with added poached egg & smoked salmon... in addition to almond flat white. The food & coffee didn't take much time, and was served by a friendly staff.. But despite all that, I was disappointed by the quality of the food & the coffee. Both were bland, hardly any taste to it, and just felt like I was let down. But I guess that's what you get for the price you pay. Not sure if I'll try their other branches to be honest. This is not The Coffee Club I know.

Came here as we were very hungry and we didn’t have time to find an eatery. The quality of the food at coffee club is pretty constant. But however I do think that the portion has shrunk a lot. A calamari at the price ($17+, I think) is quite costly given the quantity I was given. I would only guess that rental cost has went up substantially, else why would the portion of the food be so little? The taste of the calamari and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was pretty good. No complaints on the food quality. Food aside, the server’s service was exceptional and she did come over to check if we were happy with the food and if we needed something else. I was happy with her service. The coffee club was also located away from the main food court and it was slightly quieter.

I ordered a medium Cappuccino and it was served in a small dine-in cup which was dirty on the outside. I wonder whether they have cleaned the inside of the cup.The served coffee was super cold too. I just gulped it at once. I did not feel like I had a hot coffee because of that. The staff member who served the coffee was super slow and when she could not even answered properly when I asked about the difference between small and medium coffee sizes. You must introduce different dine-in cup sizes for small and medium. It is unfair to serve both of them inside a same size dine-in cup. However, I am no longer interested in visiting the Coffee Club because of the poor service, quality of coffee, and hygienic concerns.
