I went around 9pm one of the week nights and was not at all impressed with the hospitality shown by the guy at bar. My husband asked for a coffee(only if they had some) and he reacted in front of other customers as if he was asked something which one can't even expect to get there. Anyway, we went ahead with a beer each and sat down at the bar as we wanted to watch a match and accidentally I spilled beer all over my phone. When I asked this guy for some tissues, he asked my husband to run to some section himself to get it and started cleaning up the beer from the platform. This is the first time I saw a bartender didn't have any tissues with him and I didn't believe him. Moreover, after all this, he kept refusing all customers, saying we generally close by 10pm or late but today since there is nobody, we are closing early and ended up giving a free beer(that's what it looked to me) to a friend of his! WOW!! Don't think I will be...

I often enjoy a glass of wine and a meal at the ‘Nettie’ when transiting through Southern Cross station on my way home from work, during the week. No matter what sort of day I’ve had, I can always be certain that I’ll be greeted by a happy face and all staff make every effort to remember the names of regulars. From bar service through to dining, the experience is impeccable. The two owners and staff, when able to, mingle with patrons making them feel like more than just a number. There’s a small group of people who hang out at the ‘Nettie’ during the week, so if you’re looking for a chat, someone’s going to spark a conversation. As a Vegetarian, all staff (bar and kitchen) go out of their way to make sure the culinary experience is exemplary. They change the ‘Specials’ option regularly, and you haven’t lived if you don’t try there latest Moroccan Vegetarian soup. The ‘Nettie’ is a must at the end of a hard day in...

Was at this resteraunt today and waited over 40 min for 1 pizza. When everyone else were receiving their food that had arrived after us we asked politely where was ours. They notified us they had lost the order and would make it for us. We asked for a refund due to our train leaving in 15min and it was at the other end of the station. He said no we will cook it and you can take away. We received.our pizza and with only 5 min before the train was due to leave I didn't check the order as i didnt want to miss our train. We were sitting on the train and opened our pizza to find it was not what we ordered. It was a meat lovers covered in bbs sauce. Due to the sauce neither of us could eat the pizza losing our $20 for the order. We were not offered any compensation and it took 2 waiters to look into the missing order. Will not recommend this...

They’re back!!!!!!! After a long hiatus, Network Sports Bar has returned and is a welcome addition back to the Southern Cross Precinct. Very pleased to see the doors reopen this year (well, they’ve been open for about 6 weeks, so the reopening has been since about the end of November). Not the cheapest meals around, but certainly made up for by the meal size portions, customer service and ambience, especially of a live sports genre (although admittedly the atmospheric temperature was a bit chilly). Good choices on the menu to cater for all tastes, including a decent amount of gluten free and vegetarian options for those with dietary requirements. Plenty of options to choose from.

As other reviewers have said before, The food is priced quite exorbitantly but the service is excellent and the ambiance is calming. To be fair, I was in the place as it was opening so it was still quite early so to speak. But unlike the chaos and dirtiness of Southern Cross station, which I have done a review on and suffice it to say it isn't a glowing one. The atmosphere is inviting. The chicken tenders had the perfect amount of crunch and were cooked all the way through, The pickled chilies and the sauce that they give you on the side was also perfectly tangy and flavoursome

Great place to meet up for a post-work beer or dinner. Has Multiple specials on food and drinks throughout the week. Very generous servings or fries and onion rings that we ordered which were ready pretty fast. It's a collect yourself system with buzzers. Enough beers on tap, but not overly crafty. Did get pretty busy with the pre-football croud on a Friday but I guess that's to be expected.
