I go to Coffee club somewhat often because I enjoy the food for what It is. However today I went in and everything was different, it all tasted different and not the same level of quality as usual. Due to this, after my meal I decided to order 2 juice PopTops to cleanse my pallet, something simple and not fancy. I asked for them to be put in a glass with ice, as I find the lids on poptops to be very annoying. I did not think this was going to be difficult. When I sat at my table I then proceeded to watch as the barista grabbed 2 glasses, filled with ice (which was just a miscommunication on what i wanted, so not really a problem at first) and pour the first PopTop in. Since the glass was filled the ice, only half of the PopTop fit in the glass, leaving half of my drink still in the bottle. She then opened the second PopTop, and poured that one into the second glass. Since she had 2 half full PopTops, she poured the liquid from one into the other and screwed the lid back on. I assumed she was going to bring over the 2 glasses and the extra bottle of drink, the normal response when someone still has left over drink that they have payed for. However this woman decided to give the left over drink away to the kitchen. I was shocked, because I had payed 7 dollars, for 2!!! Poptops, because I drink more than child. The waiter brought over the drinks, and I asked "Where is the rest of what I ordered?" He went over and asked the barista my question, where she then lied, stating that the 2 glasses had both bottles in them. After the waiter stated this back to me, I went up to the barista myself and complained, asking "Where is the rest of what I payed for? I order 2 PopTops, and I just watched you give the rest away to the kitchen." She tried to convince me that I had received all my drink, which I obviously knew was a lie since I had seen her not do so with my own eyes. After a small conversation of me telling her I want exactly what I payed for, she did give me a new bottle of the drink, but she did not apologise, and it was after she had tried to convince me I received all my drink. This is disgusting customer service, especially given the price i had to pay for 2 childrens drinks. Very disappointing and extremely poor customer service. Will not be...
Read moreWasn't aware the Coffee Club had changed their menu until I went there today. Ordered my usual which was the Grilled Chicken toastie (with avocado and cheese) and was expecting a side of chips that it usually came with in the past. However my food came out with just the toastie itself on the plate, with no chips, and the toastie didn't even have any cheese. I asked the waitress and she said it doesn't come with chips anymore. Extremely disappointed in this poor reduced serving size, considering I'm paying the EXACT SAME price I did ($12.90) before the menu got changed. Also ordered a side of calamari for $5 which usually came with a good serving before the menu had changed, but when I received it, it only came with about 5 rings of calamari. I don't think I'll be coming back to the Coffee Club as the quality in food and portion sizing has dropped dramatically, while prices keep increasing unfairly. It's just simply not worth my money or time anymore. I definitely don't...
Read moreWent in this morning, had breakfast and coffee, the coffee was weak and to watered down, the scrambled eggs with cheese was passable, just, they really could give you more than 2 small thin pieces of toast and half a tomato, my wife had the veg fritters, the poached egg was not set, it was water logged and inedible, the salmon was good, the fritters were flour, water, egg, and thats it, no veg inside or any flavour, this for $45, very ordinary, Justine Shofield who advertises for them should be ashamed of herself, quite a let down, only gave it 3 stars because the food came quite quick, one little boy left his pancakes, which were in a packet, which the cook opened in front of them, put 2 on the plate, some canned cream and some bottled sauce, really, pancakes not freshly made, not surprised...
