The Joy Parade — Restaurant in Melbourne

My support worker and myself had a break from our moday menu planning and cooking. After I had a medical appointment, we went out for lunch here. A very pleasant experience for both of us. The food was delicious and they had gluten free orange cake which i loved. My support worker had a white choc and raspberry muffin to share with her partner and i hear it was delicious too. We both found the staff very helpful. It is very spacious inside and they have a disabled toilet available as well.

Update: I took another support worker here all of an hour ago and it was fantastic. Great service and a delicious gluten free cake. I had yummy scrambled eggs and my worker had an egg and bacon roll. They have a fantastic gift shop, i bought 6 birthday cards. Unfortunately there is only one disabled car park and its a bit far away from the cafe. The food is good but the service…omg! me and my family moved to the area around a year ago wand I used to go to Joy Parada with my family very often because the food it’s really nice (shut out to the chef) but is quite disappointing going there with the best of the moods with your kids and receiving such a rude treatment. Because my wife loves the food we insisted going there even after noticing that the service it wasn’t the best, that’s when I started paying back with the same treatment and also being rude (which is not who I am). My wife notice that I started being rude even out of Joy’s Parade caffe, she pointed I was rude to the kids. Me and my wife are consistently having fights because now I’m just a rude person…thank you...

I stumbled across a review written by "James" today that expressed some disappointment. I too was there today and my experience was completely different to his. So, I thought I'd better write a review myself! This was my second visit in a week to The Joy Parade and on both occasions, I have loved it! A great team of young people who were coping brilliantly under enormous pressure. The place was packed and every plate looked amazing. My big breakfast was delicious and served with a smile and perfectly brewed coffee! Not sure why James was disappointed, but I hope he gives it another shot. It really is a lovely spot and a breath of fresh air...
