I must say I was wildly impressed by this quiet unassuming little local. The coffee was given a hugely enthusiastic thumbs up from my husband and I was very much enjoying my tropical smoothie which had a lovely dose of mint in there to really freshen it up. Food wise hubby got the green omelette which ticked all the health boxes from him and was something we hadn’t really come across before. I chose the smashed avocado with a side of smoked salmon because it will always be my go to dish. It did mention feta on the menu but I didn’t encounter any. Nonetheless the cherry tomatoes, pomegranate and poached egg were all delicious and I appreciated that the bread wasn’t impossible to cut through as it can often be. It also came with a spicy roasted capsicum sauce which was something that differentiated it from the bog standard smashed avo offering you generally encounter. Our final dish was off the specials menu the copperfield sandwich which was a delightful basil pesto mayo chicken with avo and spinach on multigrain. These amazing flavours were elevated by an outstanding house made beetroot relish. Truly special indeed. The cake selection also boasted some seriously delectable looking treats

We were attending a convention at a local hotel, and this little beauty was close by- Thank goodness! Coffee is absolutely delicious and every dish we ordered was utterly enjoyable. 😋 For quite a few of the convention attendees, this was the go-to place for sustenance! In fact, we kept looking at each other's ordered dishes and going back to order what they had to try it, because theirs looked so good too! 😉 Hubby ordered the Salmon Eggs Bene twice because he enjoyed them so much, whilst I enjoyed the Mojo Rojo (Avocado/eggs/tomato/fetta/dukkah/capsicum sauce). For lunch we tried the WAM (Beef) and Fried Chicken burgers - again, yum! They have some sweet treats at the counter to choose from, too! The staff are lovely and friendly, and the food is what you expect from Melbourne - high quality and delicious. The chef knows his craft, as do the barista's! They have seating out on the footpath, inside the front area, and at the rear of the property. Parking is on the street.

Just don’t order the Duck Rigatoni 🤣 The menu says: “Slow braised duck breast, herbed tomato, orange crumb, red wine & duck broth reduction, pecorino.” — which sounds (and looks) amazing in the photo. Naturally, we expected some duck meat slides … but we were confused when the dish came out as just pasta mixed with sauce not a single piece of duck in sight. When we asked the staff (two staff) , they both said the dish was not suppose to have duck pieces but the duck was “mixed into the sauce.” 😅 We honestly don’t know it they were telling us the truth, or just an attempt to avoid responsibility In the photo as we can see the slice of duck breast, compare to what we got it was totally different. So if you’re okay with paying $29 for a plate of pasta and sauce, with duck that you can’t taste or even feel…then it might still be for you. But for us, it was a bit underwhelming.

Very bad experience this morning ! our family arrived Melbourne from Sydney last night meeting a client at 9:30am, we went down to this red cup cafe 2 minute away from our serviced apartment at 8:30am allow enough time for a breakfast before heading back to our room for the meeting. A waiter came to take our order which were 3 captain plate, we waited for quite a while until second waiter came around 9:05 asking what we are waiting if we needed any thing, we said we were just waiting for food, it s bring a while, he said there are big orders to cook, then we continue waiting till 9:20, nothing happened, we went to the counter asking what’s going on, and requested takeaway with our food, I believe that was the only time they passed on the order and started cooking, it took about 6-7 minutes for the takeaway boxes be prepared , which means they totally forgotten the order even after few waiters checking, no one care to check if the order were put through, at the end, the manager said give us some discount, but only one coffee was made free after we spent $120 more on the takeaway food, and eating takeaway box in hotel room half finished as client was waiting while we were eating. No joy of eating, emplacement in front of client for disordered day, full frustration start for a day in Melbourne. We would not recommend this cafe given employees are not care about their job deliveries, managers not able to comfort the situation for the customer when such a screw up happened, we have lost the smile on the faces which meant to be a happy trip to spend weekend in...

I’ve read through a lot of your reviews & so many people complain of slow service, why aren’t you doing anything to improve this? I’ve been to your cafe a few times now because I like your food, I also like some of your staff, certainly not all though. Each time I visit your cafe though, I know that I won’t get served if I sit outside ( & yes, I notify a waiter/waitress that I’ll be outside & ready to order, I’m always forgotten! Every single time. I know now just to go inside & place the order myself, otherwise I’d just give up. Today was the worst, a lazy young man was working at the counter, I told him I wanted to order some food, he told me to go back outside & sit down, I told him that’s what I’ve been doing, he told me to notify a waitress, I’ve done that I told him, so he grudgingly took my order, I ordered a large chips, a caramel milkshake, 2 Puppacinos, Here’s what I was brought, a small chips, a strawberry milkshake, 1 puppacino, I took what I got, but I wondered why I keep paying for your food & drinks. I left feeling disappointed. Do you really want your customers to continue feeling this way? My suggestion, get some QR codes put on your tables, at least then I wouldn’t have to place an order with someone who’s not bothering to listen to me, & customers may actually get their...
