I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the mint tonight. On every other occasion I have had a great time but tonight my friends and I arrived, . A young bartender came out to serve us drinks and he accidentally spilled an entire glass of beer and 2 white wines all over me . All of our drinks were spilt in the process. I understand this was a mistake but the staff after did not even offer us another drink? My understanding is that the normal process would be to at least offer us our drinks that were spilled all over me for free lol? is the common practice to spill drinks all over a customer then act like it’s their fault? So I go inside smelling revolting and humiliated and kindly request they rectify the situation and offer us drinks. She asks me if I want the manager; I say no it’s ok I understand it’s a mistake and I don’t want to get the boy in trouble but I just want our table to be handled. They eventually agree to offer us drinks (again humiliating when I’m the one who is soaked and smelling horrible) but the lady comes out outside and just slams the drinks on the table and walks away. I was left very disappointed, In fact disgusting at their entire temperament following this even though we continued to stay there and ordered food and more...

After giving the Mint another go for a lunch - I'm not in a hurry to head back. Despite the bar being empty of any customers 2 of us couldn't order food inside and pay separately, we had to wait at the table. Eventually flagged someone down who then didn't want to take our order because we had 2 people who were potentially turning up later. She was being pretty insistent we had to wait for them until I refused. She was suggesting it was too hard if we ordered separately, in which case letting us order and pay inside would have simplified things surely. She then got really snidey when later only one person of the two wanted to order food. After all that the parma was really ordinary but it was one of the cheapest things (approx $22) on their overpriced menu!! Their wine of the month had run out and when the barman offered me a replacement when I asked if it had a similar taste he laughed and then said he wouldn't have a clue. To his credit he did let me try it. Shame he didn't have good knowledge of what was on offer though. The only thing going for the place today was their shaded outdoor courtyard, although that was ruined for...

Recently hosted a dinner for about 40 ppl and I have to say am very impressed and the guests had a great time! It is the right place if you are thinking about functions.

The staff was very friendly and professional and they delivered everything according to the plan. I already love the the garden feel and the staff put white linens and barriers and just made the dining area so cozy and beautiful! There was no single mistake with the food or drinks delivered and they kept on checking on us.

The weather wasn't so pleasant as it was pouring, But with the heaters and lights were on it creates a special atmosphere and I felt it couldn't be more perfect. I didn't try the food before booking this place but apparently my guests likeDthe foodespecially those who ordered steak. The salmon I ordered however is a bit blend but I guess I was way too excited to taste anything anyway! I only had 2 options to choose from the dessert menu which is a bit limited.

Overall we all had a great time. This place is just fantastic THANK YOU for making a memorable night for us!...

Met a couple of old friends here for lunch and was greeted by a friendly smile on entry - good start. The server read out the day's specials as we couldn't see the board before taking our orders ahead of the lunchtime crowd. My confit duck leg was sweet and tender. With almond and parsnip puree, Madeira jus, orange and thyme breadcrumbs and a couple of broccolini, the succulent poultry was beautifully paired with the scrumptious mash. My friends also enjoyed their braised beef and mushroom pie and the enormous chicken parmigiana. Staff were accommodating and offered to swap my friend's chips for salad when he detected the disinclination for oil and carbs. Comfortable, spacious seating with light streaming through the windows gave this space a pleasant but casual atmosphere. The outdoor beer garden looks inviting on a balmy day. This was a good experience that deserves better than the current rating average.

Went out with a friend who hadn’t been to Melbourne before. We all wanted to try experience something new and decided to check out “The Mint” suffice to say I was incredibly disappointed and embarrassed. First came the drinks. My roommate ordered a cosmopolitan “nothing to write home about” was her review. My friend ordered a pint which was fine and I had an espresso martini which tasted burnt and was undrinkable. Then came the food. Absolutely disgusting. My roommate had the house made gnocchi if you could call it that, more so looked like orange slime, she tried asking for some salt and was begrudgingly handed some by a rude waitress. The salt barely made a difference. My friend had the chicken Parma and the cheese was disgusting. And I had ordered the steak special which considering how low my expectations were at the point was at least edible. Definitely won’t be recommending this place again.

We held our wedding here and it was the absolute best. The relaxed beer garden vibe was perfect for what we wanted. All of our guests were so pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the venue was. There is so much greenery and beautiful unique spots in this venue; we didn't add any decorations or anything (however, the venue are happy for you to do this!) The staff are incredible - Erin who helped us organise everything pre-wedding, and Gem (and the whole team!) who was there on the day - everything ran sooo smoothly and nothing was too much to ask (also they thought of literally everything before we did, so we didn't even need to ask!). The food was delicious and there was so much of it - they were happy to cater for any dietaries too. They also let us have our dog outside on the day, which was so special for us. We loved every second of the day! Thank you!!!!
