I visited this restaurant tonight with my boyfriend and had a really unpleasant experience. We ordered the beef soup, but when it arrived, there was an unappetizing layer of scum floating on top, giving off a strong unpleasant smell. When I stirred the soup, I found that all the beef slices were stuck together, forming a big lump of meat, which looked undercooked inside. I was honestly disgusted and called over a waitress to explain the situation.
However, the waitress only casually responded, "So, what can I do for you?" I was quite shocked by her attitude. A proper response in this situation would be to apologize and offer to remake the dish or at least try to solve the problem. Instead, she called over a male staff member, whose attitude was even worse. He insisted this was "normal" and said he would bring me scissors to cut the meat myself. But the point is, I ordered beef slice soup, not a few giant meatballs (as shown in the picture, where I tried to pull the meat apart but most of it was still clumped together).
The most disappointing part of this experience wasn't even the food itself—although it's clear the beef was not fresh and hadn't been properly thawed—but the staff's attitude. When something like this happens, the least they should do is show some basic courtesy and attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed miserably on both food quality and...
Read moreBefore write down the review, Im Korean, but my girlfriend is a foreigner, so I kept using English to there staff. And we got there around 9pm, and there was a line of customers waiting for the table. The shop staff also kept a list of guests waiting for the table. But it rained outside, and people, including us, waited outside in the rain for table. However, the staff didn't organize the tables even though the tables were empty and made the guests wait outside. And Im not sure, but one of the hall staff friend came into the shop and they ask to them, how long time they need to wait for table, and they got seat without the line up, eventhough the other customers were waiting table outside for long time. In the end, we entered the store one and half later, and the taste of the food was not bad. However, the hall staff did not clean the table, only care about the customers in the store, and did not care for the customers outside, even though there were many customers waiting. The food was not bad overall, but the customer service was really bad, and especially, worse for foreigners. It was a kind store only for Koreans. I am Korean but I don't...

📍Zhan Beer, Melbourne 🍻 Authentic soju joint for a proper Korean night out! It's located right next to the kimchi street and opens until 3am everyday! It's always full of Koreans so you know it's legit.
I've been here several times already and had great experiences with both small and big group gatherings. Endless stream of sojus flowing, and your food gets cooked and pumped out to your table in a flash. Staff are all Koreans so they generally know what's up and prepare everything to the OG Korean standard 👌 (ex. server bringing the same number of soju/beer glasses without us even asking, recommending good anjus for the multicultural crowd etc.) Super friendly and accomodating people.
They even have one of those blue sojus that's popular in Korea atm (much more smoother than green ones). For anju, I highly recommend "Spicy Beef Ribs Stew" & "Watermelon Fruit Salad (화채/hwachae". Why? First, you can't get them anywhere else in the city. Second, they are delicious. Both wakes you up just enough to grab another bottle. Maybe, that's their...
