Oppa, this time, you truly broke my heart, I think it’s time for us to break up.

From my student days to my working years, I have brought every boyfriend to try your marinated crab.Because it's good.  After each breakups, I come, because, It's good. Because of this history.  Even when your prices went up and your portions got smaller, Your flavor became not as good as before. My friends all said not worth the price.  I always choose you, have not hesitated even once even other places like Jungan or Surajang also serve similar dishes.I always chose you.why? Because the emotional value is much more important than material value.

When I found out you no longer offer Marinated Crab for takeaway, I was a little disappointed, but I understood—raw food safety policy is important, after all.  So, I ordered a stew and a side of ramen instead.I can always dine in next time, with my new boyfriend.

Tonight was so cold, and there were plenty of empty tables and chairs inside, yet your tall, big-eyed, beautiful-skinned waitress insisted that I wait outside for takeway. Policy is policy. But at midnight, when there is a space, when I already waited and checked after a while. To follow the policy is normal, but to choose to be kind can be warmer than the weather.

Finally, I got my order. Drove in my cute little white Merc, all the way home, thinking about how delicious it will be the raman soaked in the stew, only to find that the ramen wasn’t in the bag. At midnight, a hungry disappointed girl looked at a take away with no ramen。That moment, with the cold wind blowing outsidemy window, I realized—you’ve changed. Our relationship is coming to an end.

We’ve been together for 10 years..Everything has an end, isn't it?

Even so, I still gave you a five-star review. Mom taught me to repay unkindness with kindness. I wish you the best. Seven Star Oppa....

Had a quick dinner at Seven Star on Sunday. It was not busy at all. 6pm. As soon as we entered the staff just plainly asked my party “how many?” with a blank face and no welcoming gesture. For me, It didnt really bother me at that point because it was a really hot day in Melbourne and i understand it must be difficult working and serving at the same time for hospo workers.

We scanned and ordered via the QR code on the table. Food came out rather quickly. Server just drops and go without any explanation. However, specifically we ordered cold Korean noodle soup. While this was a NOODLE SOUP dish, I looked at my partner and asked where are the spoons for the soup? So we figured we needed to ask from the staff. After we caught got one of the staff attention. It was one of the most rudest and weirdest interaction I had. We kindly asked for spoons and he looked at us as if we were asking for 1 million dollars or even asking him to run a marathon under the heat. !!! I proceeded to say “sorry but we need spoons for the soup to share” and he looked at his and answered rudely “How many?” - clearly it’s not rocket science and I replied “it’s for me and my partner so 2 please” and he walked off and just dunked the spoons on the table after we requested for it. Should we feel guilty to request for simple utensils? Or is this restaurant a self service place? Cause clearly their refrigerator doesn’t allow customers to grab their soju or drinks by themselves!

Never again I would recommend this late night Korean place to anyone. I would rather spend my money at Gami or Jangun where the food is okay but I know I would be...

Just had an incredible dining experience at SevenStar Poncha Korean Restaurant in Melbourne! The authenticity of their Korean cuisine blew me away. Every dish was packed with traditional flavors and spices, from the mouthwatering Bibimbap to the sizzling Bulgogi. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home, with attentive staff members who were friendly and eager to assist. I was impressed by the restaurant's commitment to using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. The vegetables were crisp, the meats tender, and the seafood incredibly fresh. Plus, the portions were generous, ensuring I left feeling satisfied without breaking the bank.

What sets SevenStar Poncha apart is their inclusivity when it comes to dietary options. They have a wide range of choices for vegetarians, vegans, and those with specific dietary requirements. It's a place where everyone can enjoy the vibrant flavors of Korean cuisine. And if you're a fan of Korean BBQ, you're in for a treat! The tabletop grills allow you to cook your own marinated meats to perfection, creating an interactive and unforgettable dining experience.

Overall, I can't recommend SevenStar Poncha enough. It's a true gem in Melbourne's culinary scene, offering authentic Korean flavors, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned Korean food aficionado or just starting your culinary journey, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in some of the best Korean cuisine Melbourne has to offer!

📍 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮 ⭑.ᐟ ❤︎ 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱: Korean comfort food for a chilly night ❤︎ 𝗙𝗮𝘃 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗵: Spicy Seafood Champon ❤︎ 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿: Hotpot lovers, cozy dinner, soju nights ❤︎ 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗲: Buzzing and casual, street food vibe with warm dishes ꫂ ၴႅၴ This was my first time trying Seven Star Pocha, and honestly, it was everything I wanted on a chilly Melbourne night. I passed by this spot and saw people digging into big plates of food through the glass—and this time, I finally joined them. We ordered quite a feast: the spicy seafood champon, Mongolian beef, seaweed rice balls, and of course, green grape soju to keep it festive. The champon was bold and fiery with seafood tucked into the deep-red broth—perfect for Melbourne’s windy night. The Mongolian beef came sizzling, with juicy slices of meat tossed in sweet-savory sauce, cabbage, and crunchy chilies on top—super comforting. I also loved the seaweed rice balls—bite-sized, chewy, and umami-packed, a great contrast to the broth-heavy dishes. With soju on the side and laughter at the table, it really felt like a Korean late-night dining moment. The place was full and energetic, with people chatting over hotpots and clinking glasses. Definitely a great vibe for group dinners or weekend hangs. ⴵ 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲: Moderate—around 10 mins for dishes 𐀪 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱: Super busy, lots of groups, tables filled up fast ☼ 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱: Weekend dinner ‎𐂐 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿: Spicy Seafood Champon, Mongolian Beef, Seaweed Rice Balls, Green Grape Soju 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻? ꕤ Definitely! The food was good, but the service was extremely disappointing — especially from a staff member named Miko. We came as a group of five and were seated at a single table, which was tight but acceptable at first. However, after placing a large order, we asked if it was possible to add another table, as it was clear everything wouldn’t fit. The staff member immediately said no without even checking our order. He could’ve at least confirmed, but instead, he just walked around and ignored the issue. When the food arrived, as expected, there wasn’t enough space. So we moved a nearby table ourselves. That’s when Miko came over and told us we shouldn’t do that and must inform the staff first. We explained that we had tried, but no one helped. His only response was to repeat that we should inform them next time because the manager was asking, and they “couldn’t respond.” We understand this might have been a communication issue, but the way he spoke down to us made us extremely uncomfortable. It was accusatory — not a suggestion, not informative, just condescending. We asked to speak with the manager. She was polite, listened, and apologised — which we appreciated. Shockingly, after that, Miko came back — not to apologise — but to defend himself and explain why we were wrong, which honestly left us speechless. It would’ve been better if he hadn’t come back at all. Everything else was fine, but his attitude left a bad impression despite the good food.
