Korea Town is a great spot if you're craving Korean food! There's so much variety that it was hard to decide what to get.
The yukhoe and octopus were delicious. The octopus was the classic tako wasabi, which I didn't mind at all—I actually enjoy that combo. The soy raw crabs were super fresh, though I wish there had been more crab instead of the extra salmon, octopus, and quail eggs. They were nice, but honestly, I'd have preferred more crab, haha.
The half-and-half pancake is a brilliant idea! Some days, I want both but can't handle two full pancakes, so this was perfect—cooked to perfection, too! The chicken giblets were a great deal, super generous, and tasted amazing.
The wagyu rib meat was really flavorful, but it came out at room temperature, which was a bit of a letdown. If it had been piping hot, it would have been spot on! As for the army stew, it had all the right ingredients but was missing that extra kick—needed a bit more spice and umami.
Overall, we had a lovely time dining at Korea Town. The place is spacious, but it fills up fast, and I can see why. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Korea town was kind enough to invite me out to try...
Read moreThis has got to be one of the best places I have ever had Korean food at. They serve really hefty portions & we enjoyed every single bit of it. They are currently running a promo for soju slushies at $9.90! There’s two flavours hallabong and green citrus, both are pretty delicious!
Soju Slush!! Hallabong ($9.9) Green Citrus ($9.9)
Corn cheese ($14.5) - very cheesy and a staple. Yukhoe Sushi ($28) - super tender and had a great charred flavour. Boneless Soy Chicken ($38) - huge portion of chicken and it came with sweet potato fries, a little salad, pickled radish and dill pickles. KOTA gimbap ($14) - this was packed with filling and I really like this with the tteobokki. Pork Kimchi Stew ($22) Original Tteokbokki ($18) - this was not too spicy and was really good with the gimbap. The rice cakes were really chewy and was good. Yukhoe & Salmon Hoé ($58) - this was super fresh salmon and sliced beef. the yukhoe was super soft and combined with the ginger, it was really good flavour!
I would definitely come back here with my friends, I find the portions to be really big and tasty. I really enjoyed the drinks as well, the slushies were super refreshing since it’s so hot...

The kimchi pancake was perfectly crispy without feeling greasy, making it an ideal starter. 🥞 The charcoal wagyu rib meat stole the show—so tender and smoky, it melted in my mouth. My top pick of the day! 🥩 The Yukhoe and salmon hoe platter was another standout—the salmon was incredibly fresh and firm, making every bite a delight. 🐟 The boneless soy chicken was rich and flavourful, and the spicy braised chicken soup was hearty and satisfying. 🍗🍲 It was my first time trying the Chestnut rice wine which had a lovely nuttiness, while the Hallabong summer slush and Green citrus summer slush brought bright and zesty flavours to round out the meal.
