The Window Cnr Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

We visited today mid morning, the service was super super slow, 15 minutes for my Latte to come out, and 40 minutes for 2 breakfast dishes to come out when we were one of two customers at the busiest time. The Avocado toast was devoid of any seasoning whatsoever, just had zero flavour, also if you’re going to advertise heirloom tomatoes, use heirloom tomatoes, not under-ripe cherry tomatoes, the bacon was nice enough, was probably the only nice thing on the plate, the poached eggs weren’t drained properly so there was a puddle of water on the plate from them. My partner had the BLT and it was stacked with leaf salad mix, not cos or iceberg lettuce like a BLT...

One of the best small community cafes I’ve ever been to hence why I’ve been going back whenever I can, their service is efficient, delicious and comes with a smile. I couldn’t help but notice some other reviews and saw one from an Adam, one thing I know about this cafe is if there is a problem shared with the owner they are always more than happy to rectify it then and there which leads me to believe instead of passing on constructive criticism this person took to the internet like a keyboard warrior. Servers were friendly but not very attentive, we waited on a table outside but weren't approached for 10 minutes so we came inside. We waited again for more than 5 minutes and were only given menus when we waived down the waitress. I ordered the chorizo omelette and it tasted nice but was something I easily could've made at home myself. Food servings were very small and not very impressive, the omelette came with only one small slice of sourdough which was not enough. This cafe is a good place to stop for coffee but wouldn't come here...
