๐๐๐๐๐ 5-Star Review for Thong Thai Melbourne โ A Thai Food Heaven in the Heart of the City! ๐น๐ญ
If youโre looking for authentic Thai food in Melbourne, Thong Thai is a must-visit! Every dish is packed with flavor, spice, and heartโjust like back home in Thailand. Hereโs what made our visit unforgettable:
๐ฒ Tom Saap Pork Ribs โ Spicy, sour, and incredibly aromatic. The tender pork ribs fell off the bone and the broth was full of herbs and chili goodness. ๐ณ Crispy Mussel Pancake (Hoy Tod) โ Hands down the crunchiest, most flavorful version Iโve had outside Thailand! Perfectly golden and served on a sizzling plate. ๐ฝ Som Tum Corn with Salted Egg & Seafood โ A colorful explosion of spicy-sweet flavors with just the right balance. Corn, salted eggs, shrimp, and chili all dancing together. ๐ฅ Free Herbal Tea โ A refreshing surprise that complemented the spicy dishes perfectly!
The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant has a warm, buzzing atmosphere. Perfect for group dining or a casual Thai food fix. They offer great portion sizes and the prices are more than fair for the quality.
Highly recommend Thong Thai Melbourne if youโre craving bold, authentic Thai cuisine! ๐ถ๏ธ

The crispy scallop pancake was perfectly golden, with a delightful crunch and tender scallops in every bite. The Khaopad Sparot was bursting with flavor, featuring fragrant fried rice with sweet pineapple pieces, making it a standout dish.
The deep-fried whole fish was impressive, offering a crispy exterior and fresh, bold flavors that truly highlighted Thai cuisine. The oyster omelette was rich and savory, while the chili garlic crispy pork added the perfect spicy kick.
Donโt forget to try their unique cocktails like the Thong Thai, made with mango and Thai whisky, and the Krapao Lover, with Thai basil, vodka, and lime. The cold drinks were also refreshing, especially the Vampire Blood Soda and Chrysanthemum Iced Tea.
I highly recommend visiting Thong Thai for an unforgettable meal filled with authentic flavors!

So glad we booked as it was very busy, as it is just around the corner from the Princess Theater and we were there for a pre-show dinner, arriving just before 6pm. Our table was waiting for us, the only spare one, and we were welcomed by a friendly and very efficient waitress. We ordered entrees and drinks, which arrived in good time, hot and delicious. We had vegetarian spring rolls and satay chicken skewers. We placed our orders for mains when we received our entrees, as we could see it was getting busier, these also arrived hot and without delay. We had Pad Thai with prawns, and two other dishes, one with pork belly and the other with chicken, both of these came with an egg, plain rice and vegetables, not sure of the name of the dish. All arrived on sizzling plates and all were delicious. We also had their banana fritters for dessert, which were also delicious. Loved the 5% discount for cash also. 10/10 for everything, we can highly recommend coming here, it made our special night out even more special. We will definitely be...
