🌟 A Must-Try Thai Fusion Experience! 🌟

We recently dined at this newly opened Thai fusion restaurant and were blown away by the value and quality of their $49 set menu 🍽️, which includes 2 entrées, 2 mains, and 1 side per person. As seafood lovers 🦐🐟, we chose all seafood dishes, and it was truly a feast!

🍤 Entrées:

Pattaya Fishing Tour: The kingfish tartare was fresh and vibrant, easily my favorite dish of the night ✨. Scallop with Malatang Sauce: Creamy and flavorful, though the sauce slightly overpowered the scallop’s natural taste.

🐟 Mains:

Crispy Fried Barramundi: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. A bit more sauce would have made it perfect! 🌊 King Prawn & Rice Vermicelli: The star of the night 🌟! The prawns were huge, and the vermicelli absorbed all the prawn juices, creating an unforgettable umami flavor 😍.

🥗 Side:

Kale Salad: A Thai-inspired take on a papaya salad 🥭—zesty and refreshing, it complemented the other dishes perfectly.

We also tried the Thai Milk Tea Tiramisu 🍮 (not included in the set menu), which was light and not overly sweet, a great way to end the meal.

The restaurant also offers an interesting variety of Thai fusion cocktails 🍹. My partner loved the Thai Milk Tea Cocktail, though it was a bit sweet for my taste.

The service was excellent 💯; the staff were kind and attentive despite how busy the restaurant was on a Saturday night. Highly recommend making a booking beforehand 🗓️.

If you're looking for delicious, creative Thai fusion food with generous portions, this is the place to go. Perfect for New Year’s...

The flavours were pretty good. Everything we ordered was tasty and presented well, served piping hot. They really need to sort out their portion sizing though for the feed me menu. As per some of the other lower rated reviews on here, the portions of the "mains" were significantly reduced in a feed me menu to the point that we couldn't tell what was a main and what was a starter. Similar to the person who posted about one of their main shareplates only having 3 prawns between 4 people we had the same experience with the rolled noodle dish. Probably 2 pieces of rolled noodle per person for 4 people??? Really strange portioning. Also all the photos you see of the kha soi chicken must be if you ordered a la carte because we got the SMALLEST portion that was impossible to share. Photos shown below. It almost felt like the portioning was designed not to share? But that wasn't made very clear. And also it was inconsistent. As you can see in the photos the steak main was quite decent in size, and the squid starter was bigger than our main curry 😂😂 very strange! I think because they are still new they're still working out kinks. The google review is also misleading because at the end of dinner they offer you a free drink if you give them 5 stars. Cocktails were pretty...

I wish I could say more positive things about this restaurant. We decided to try it out because of all the nice reviews. Unfortunately as soon as we arrive , we wait for menus so we ask for them. After 20 minutes we need to ask for attention and order drinks. We get our drinks and after another 20 minutes we need to get up and ask to order for food. The waiter was nice enough to explain the feed me menu so we could get a better deal for the price, we appreciated that. We finally start getting our food, it comes fast enough and we are able to have dinner after 1 hour already in the restaurant. Funny thing is that they made us wait so long to order and after we finally got our food they were rushed to take things from the table because they were starting to clean up. And we asked multiple times for extra drinks and it took them a while to finally get it to our table. The food was good, I wouldn’t say the best food I have had. Overall the experience wasn’t good. Not happy at all about the service, seeking for attention from waiters is not what I expect in such a high rated restaurant. The food wasn’t anything special. I wouldn’t go...

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4/5 Finally got to try Bali Hai CBD Fusion after having it saved on my list for so long! It’s a Thai fusion restaurant in the heart of Melbourne CBD, with a tropical Southeast Asian vibe and a strong 4.8 Google rating — definitely one of the better Thai spots in the city. Here’s what we ordered: 🔹 Grilled Squid – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nicely charred and tender, with a tangy and spicy sauce. A great appetizer to start with. 🔹 Scallops – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loved these! Thick, juicy, and perfectly grilled — sweet and smoky flavor. 🔹 Red Curry Duck – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rich curry with lychee and pineapple added, giving it a great depth of flavor. I usually find Thai red curries too sweet, but this one was balanced and very enjoyable with rice. 🔹 Pad Thai with King Prawn – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Well-seasoned noodles and crispy prawns. The prawns were meaty and fragrant — really solid. 🔹 Thai Milk Tea Tiramisu – ⭐️ This was a miss for me. It wasn’t too sweet, which is good, but the texture was dry and not very satisfying. 🔹 Cocktails: First Sunrise & Sex Worker – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Both were fruity and tropical. First Sunrise had a strong mango flavor and was super refreshing!
