Made an order through the La Porchetta online on Easter Sunday and when we went to the restaurant. It was closed yet we will still charged. Called the next day to ask for a refund and was told it should be resolved within a week. A week later. No money. Called again and was advised, the owner will contact the online company and have this matter resolved. Another week later, still no money. I called today and asked for the manager to assist me, yet, not helpful and was instead rude. And tried to push the blame forward to the online company. I'm not asking them to pay me. I'm asking for my issue to followed up so I can get my money back but La Porchetta North Melbourne holds no responsibility and interest in returning my money. How is this woman even a manager? Instead of trying to understand my situation, she continuously tries to push forward the blame through a condescending manner. She also did not acknowledge me as a customer. It's been over a month and I still haven't yet to be reimbursed. This is actually illegal by taking someones money and refusing to pay for it back. I don't care if there's another online company involved. The process of ordering on the La Porchetta site is between their own contract. I have no contact details of this outsource company so how else am I going to get my money back? Is it wrong for me to ask nicely for my money back which has been not paid for over a month. Whatever the amount is, it's about the responsibility and trust to customers. The restaurant should also have not been listed as "Open" online if it was restaurant is closed. Read moreI ordered 2 tiramisus from this la porchetta yesterday which I usually love and was super excited for. Tiramisu is my favourite dessert and la porchetta's tiramisu is among the best out there.
However, the tiramisu I got was horrible. Both my girlfriend and i agreed that the cream tasted sour and there was a stale coffee after-taste in the sponge fingers. When I called to let them know, the guy on the phone said that there was no way and it was definitely not stale and it was made either "today or yesterday". He also said that it could taste different because they may have used a different cream?
Honestly, that sounded like a pathetic excuse because I don't care what cream you use it should never taste sour..
Pretty poor form. I would understand if they may have kept it for too long or whatever but if a customer calls to give you feedback about something you should listen to them and go test your product to see if they are right instead of just insisting that they're definitely wrong.
Edit: I emailed the store to organise a pick up of the two tiramisu replacements as offered by the owner below but got no response. I love how the owner posts a reply saying that they'd love to make it up to me in a response that everyone else can see but I can't reply to, then when I email them to organise pick up for the two new tiramisus that they've offered they don't reply. The owner checks their Google reviews and replies within 1 day but doesn't check the store's email? Unlikely. Once again, extremely poor customer service. Overall, the presentation of the pizza an the flavour were horrible and I coulndt eat the pizza. My husband had bad luck with his pasta as well.
