Best Korean egg drop sandwich I’ve had in Melbourne.
This Korean egg style sandwiches are trendy in Melbourne at the moment with so many cafes opening up and serving them. I’ve been to Egg Drop & Isaac Toast in Seoul Korea so trying out all this fluffy eggy goodness has been fun.
In comparison to the Korean toasts in Melbourne, Three Drops Coffee is probably the closest in resembling the taste, quality and authenticity for the best value.
Classic K-Sandwich - ham, cheese, fluffy eggs, sweet mayo sauce (5/5)
Brioche is perfectly toasted, not too buttery but buttery enough and still firm and fluffy after that egg filling is inserted. Very clean tasting and not sickening which I find with many of the toasts as they add either too much sauce, sweetness, meat, or grease. The scrambled egg in here is to die for, and with that drizzle of their sweet garlic mayo, I was in heaven. It’s almost like garlic bread on steroids. I could eat this everyday.
Staff are super friendly and are always keen to improve. So far, it’s a 10/10 for me. Definitely coming back to try their popular bulgogi options!
Located on the busy street of Collins St, may be hard to find but you will be able to notice their welcoming signages.

Of course I got the famous Bulgogi K-sandwich and oh my god it was heaven in my mouth from the first bite to the last. The brioche bun was fluffy on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside, not oily at all and has a slight sweetness to it. To me it was the star of the show actually. I usually don’t like when sandwiches are too heavy and oily and messy to eat. But this one was not cut through completely so its content did not slip out from the bottom as I was eating. The egg was cooked to perfection, and inside was a generous amount of minced beef. The bulgogi sauce and cheese bind everything together nicely. I asked for extra sauce on the inside as I like it saucy. I think you can add hot sauce as well.
One can tell that the chef puts a lot of care and effort into each order. I can’t wait to come back and try the other sandwiches, rolls and jaffles. With $12, it’s the most affordable and generous serving you can ask for.
And I have to mention also that the staff was super friendly, and they’re all Korean I think so it’s probably very authentic. Kudos to all of you! Hope you’ll open a bigger...

Ignore whatever they have ready in the fridge. That’s not what we’re here for. Find instead the laminated menus and three paths lay before you: the jaffles, the Korean sandwiches, and the baguettes. There’s no wrong path to take—each will take you where you want go go. For your first time consider the K-Sandwich with your choice of filling. The bread is soft and buttery, the scrambled egg is fluffy and creamy. It’s full of flavour and colour. What a perfect way to start the day.
Tucked away inside the ageing entrance to an apartment building, I wouldn’t hold it against you if you thought it just another CBD cafe—serving a quick bite and an unremarkable coffee. You may have walked past Three Drops hundreds of times in your daily commutes—never giving it a second glance—never knowing they are serving some of Melbourne’s greatest...
