I've been a regular at this joint, enjoying their food on a weekly basis. However, my recent visit has left me disheartened and compelled to share my experience.
Today, during a simple order for two salmon sushi hand rolls, I faced an unexpected ordeal. Politely reminding the service staff about my preference for a paper bag seemed to trigger an unwarranted display of impatience and frustration. What's more, when my 4-year-old son innocently asked if we could dine in, the reaction was even more disappointing.
This occurred during a quiet time, with no other customers waiting, making the unpleasant encounter all the more perplexing. As someone who has been a loyal customer, visiting at least once or twice a week, this sudden shift in service left me questioning the overall customer experience.
I believe in constructive feedback, and I hope this reaches the management's attention for improvement. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I am hesitant to return to a place that was once a favorite. The food arrived in a complete mess . the packaging was narrow and unstable at the bottom, wide in the middle, and crammed tight at the top. The seaweed, poorly wrapped and placed on top, leaked everywhere. The rest of the food got smashed and soaked. It was clearly packed without any care, and although delivery handling plays a role, no proper packaging would’ve allowed this to happen.
But the worst part? When we called to explain, the staff questioned whether we were exaggerating until we sent photos and she was clearly shocked. All we asked for was a reorder, but she just flatly said there was “nothing they could do” except offer a refund. No apology, no sympathy.
