From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the inviting atmosphere and cozy setup. The pub managed to strike the right balance between a comfortable, laid-back setting and an upscale vibe. The interior decor was tastefully done, contributing to an enjoyable and relaxed ambiance.
What truly set this pub apart was the quality of its offerings. The menu boasted a delightful array of dishes, each prepared with a touch of culinary expertise. From mouthwatering appetizers to scrumptious main courses, every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to their craft.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to offer recommendations and accommodate any special requests. It's evident that customer satisfaction is a top priority here, and their efforts certainly did not go unnoticed.
The only drawback I encountered was the closing time. Given the exceptional experience I had, I couldn't help but wish the pub extended its operating hours. The thought of being able to linger a bit longer, savoring the delicious food and soaking in the pleasant atmosphere, was quite tempting.
In summary, this above-average pub managed to tick all the right boxes in terms of ambiance, cuisine, and service. If only it stayed open later, it would undoubtedly be the perfect spot for those looking to extend their evenings in a truly...

The beer’s cold (on purpose?), the chips come in portions that suggest the kitchen is genuinely worried about your blood pressure, and there’s always at least one bloke at the bar who looks like he’s been there since Federation. In other words: perfect.
I met a date here and kept coming back “just for one,” which of course turned into three, then dinner, then staying to analyse AFL (which I still don’t really understand) from across the room. Very thankful for the cozy lighting that does you a few favours — especially helpful when you’re British and sun-deprived.
No pokies. No pretension. Just a proper pub. The kind of place that tricks you into being sentimental. 5 stars, even though I’ll probably never win a single round of trivia there.
Really miss visiting this place as...
Read moreCome here pretty often. Atmosphere is always great and there’s usually alot of people there in the arvo/at night but always space. Heaps of inspire and outdoor El seating area and great service. Tried the food for the first time. We ordered the beef and Guinness pie special and the porterhouse steak. Beef and Guinness pie cake with mash, mushy peas, and gravy. Was absolutely delicious and very filling. Gravy was good and portion size was great. Porterhouse was alright but the pepper sauce was extremely peppery to other ones I’ve had. Overall probably wouldn’t get it again and get better steaks in the area for cheaper or the same price. Menu has heaps of options tho so definitely want to try more. Overall definitely recommend this place very cozy inside and outside with a fireplace and...
