University House — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’ve visited this venue many times and it has to be one of my favourites. I had a wonderful dinner and drinks for my husband’s birthday at University House a few weeks ago. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was delicious. We had steak and duck. The desserts are also delicious. I would recommend for a week day lunch or dinner if you are on campus. The beer garden is also fantastic especially on a Friday night for after work knock off drinks. On an earlier visit I’ve also enjoyed a Valentine’s Day dinner here which was fantastic! Food is a bit expensive, we had salmon and okonomiyaki surf and turf style, taste not so impressive. We had a choice of either that or grilled vegetables, but they served randomly and I had to switch plates with my tablemate as I wanted the grilled salmon plate.
