Good menu and atmosphere. If you order from the table menu, it's a little overpriced. The side entrance opening and closing on a windy/cold day is a nightmare (there's no issues during the summer but on a freezing winter day with really strong winds, that entrance should probably be locked). Also a good cafe for students - Melbourne Uni students get a discount

For a busy Cafe that pumps out a lot of food, Dr Dax seems to keep the quality in the kitchen pretty high, I had a beef cheese burger and I must say it was really nice, the meat was thick juicy and tender, and the chips that came with it were also really nice, I will definitely return to Dr Dan for snacks.

Service and food a bit hit and miss. Some days it’s a huge serving of fresh gourmet salad served with a smile. Other days you get half the portion for same price by staff who don’t take your drink order correctly and then deliver not what you order.

Ladies and gentleman, I've struggled to write this review. Some things can't be put into words.

Seeing all these negative reviews leads me to think one too many students are accustomed to the greasy food at Pronto Pizza. They say love is at first sight, well that is true with Dr Dax. After my first visit, I was hooked. Astounded! This is not just a kitchen, this is a representation of what campus food is capable of.

Are you a student? Dr Dax gets you. Are you working? Dr Dax gets you.

As a humble student at the esteemed institution: The University of Melbourne, I cannot emphasise enough just how blessed we are to have Dr Dax on our campus. They say God's generosity knows no bounds, and when I eat here I know that is true.

Dr Dax consistently Delivers the best food available on campus (objectively, no ifs or buts). The food is tasty, healthy and there is a variety every day. Gives you amazing service, the staff are simply lovely Understands that you are a struggling student, here's is a free discount, here is a free muffin Offers facilities that no other on-campus venue can match Space for you and all your friends to sit Free glass cups and water So many copies of today's newspaper Staff clean up after you Makes all of this affordable Quickest service you can imagine (I'm looking at you Egg Bistro). No long lines, though it's packed at 12:30. You get your food in 2 min if you order from the daily lunch menu Boosts your WAM by 5 because you get motivated after eating there

Let me tell you something ladies and gentleman. Want to know how lecturers survive dealing with 9AM lectures? Their secret is Dr Dax. You eat here and your motivation metre gets buffed 10% (duration 2 days)

If you aren't eating here then what you doing? I mourn for you, I cry for you. The stars above weep for you if you have not experienced the grandeur that is Dr Dax Kitchen.

Dr Dax is like a big family, you feel part of the club. I look forward to Dr Dax every day, it is what gets me awake in the morning. I don't know whether I could survive without it. When I think of a time when Dr Dax is gone, I find it hard to breathe all of a sudden. What is this feeling?

If you are a student and go for a visit, let them know Harry sent you. You get a 10% discount automatically. They'll know what it means.

I've been having lunch here for several years, but the food quality has started to decline and what you get for the price isn't really worth it. Today, I ordered a meal and sat down. The wait staff member walked past after looking in the section I was in and proceeded to do a lap. I thought I may as well catch him coming back around again in case he still didn't see my order number. I wasn't rude and just waved and said 'here'...perhaps I had a quizzical look on my face or something? He handed it over without a smile, and then walked past and said under his breath 'calm down'. Your staff need to learn some customer respect and some logic in thinking that disgusting behaviour isn't seen or heard. I order quite a bit of catering from you guys for work but I am kinda put off now, and definitely won't be back in a...

Almond croissant was extremely bad, there wasn’t any crunch and the middle is disgustingly moist. It didn’t give off any kind of aroma like in the shops, the almond pieces were very bland. I was so hungry, otherwise I wouldn’t have touched it after the second bite. I felt like I could taste the dishwashing detergent with the bottom part where the croissant made contact with the plate, since it tasted like artificial lemon. And that was almost 9 dollars! Huge disappointment and not...
