Velvet Bean Epping — Restaurant in Melbourne

The food is not fresh. Ordered breakfast and it came out approx 2 minutes after ordering. Takes longer than that to cook toast and eggs. Food was accidentally delivered to the table next to us. After realising the mistake, the waitress took the food to the kitchen (after the people at that table had touched it and taken a hash brown from the plate) They added another pre cooked hash brown to the same plate of food, reheated it for a minute and attempted to serve it back to us. Table was located right under the kitchen so witnessed the whole thing. How hard is it to cook fresh toast and eggs and make a NEW plate of food when you deliver it to the wrong table....

We have been to Velvet Bean several times now. It is becoming our go to place at Epping Plaza and we are happy to recommend it to others. I have had several different meals now and will recommend chicken parmigiana , fish and chips and Avo breakfast. Coffee is settling into very good quality with very pleasant coffee of the 100% Arabica bean. Probably my favourite. They are also stocking very nice cake selection and (imo) a lovely lamington. ( just call me old fashioned) service is settling into very good now as this new establishment moves forward. Well done all....

Extremely poor customer service. Brought the wrong drink and got blamed for their mistake. Instead fixing the misunderstanding, the Asian lady working there asked us to pay for what we initially had ordered while talking in a loud and rude manner Considering its location and atmosphere and type of food being served, the prices are high. Also wouldn’t recommend the fish and chips as it literally tastes like the ocean.
