Well done VHM Bros bringing Vietnamese food to Craigieburn.
Below are my honest feedback
Price: 4.0/5 above market and on the expensive side Food and taste: 4.5/5, more portion for the price would be recommended. Service: 4.0/5 area for improvement for one server.
Customer Service and Professionalism. (4 star) 1: To the gentleman serving the front. From a professional standpoint, if you are working and see your friends approaching, refrain from engaging them as you are representing your restaurant, even if you do step away, at least step aside from the entry and don’t hand them a vapes to try. Do it away from your area of work and without your uniform. Secondly when serving customer, be gentle when placing down any items on the table.
Customer service is better than most other Asian restaurants.
Food and Drinks (4.5 star) 1: Wonton Noodle Soup ( Highly recommended)
soup is extremely delicious wonton perfectly done. bok choy very soft and delicious.
2: Swicy chicken + rice ( recommended) chicken was perfectly done, not over cooked, tender and moist inside. sauce was plentiful and flavour was well balanced. (Note: for others the sauce maybe too much for some, so if you do get this item, just use a spoon and reduce the amount out to another plate) rice was a bit dry for my liking but it will suite others who like a harder grain.
3: Pho - combination (try if you wish) noodle itself was good soup let it down. combination beef, portion wise, good but could do with more.
This pho is way too basic with very little ingredients, one thing that could improve is the addition of adding innards like hearts, collagen etc, this will enhance your pho. Plus please put more beef and chicken. You’re competing with the likes of Footscray, sunshine, st Albans and Springvale. For the price it’s expensive when comparing to others.
Drinks: (4 star)
1: Mango and Lycee tea. Both are nicely done, but could do with a bit more flavour as the tea overwhelm it just a tiny bit.
Will return for a second round in the future for other dish. Hope the other...
Read moreMy reviews are usually long, but detailed. I literally come here ALL the time! As someone who is absolutely fanatical about Vietnamese and Asian cuisine, it made me so happy to finally have a proper Vietnamese restaurant in Craigieburn.
The customer service is amazing. Vinh is an absolute delight to see and talk to all the times I go. His family are such lovely people and just wonderful cooks and this amplifies the love I have for the place. The number one experience that usually wows customers is in fact customer service. I can say with 100% certainty that you would never have a bad experience here.
The food. I could write an entire essay about how wonderful their food is. Their chilli is the hottest I've ever had in a restaurant (usually it's a Western-style heat, but this is proper). As a chilli eater, this makes me so happy! My regular dishes are usually the pork and prawn rice paper rolls. The sauce that goes with it is what amplifies the entire dish and I usually ask for extra because it's very addictive. My second regular are the steamed wantons. They are to die for! The sauce once again is one of the best things about it and really amplifies the homemade-style wantons. Their taste is so unique I secretly I wanna wow Vinh to get the recipe from his parents. 😉😂
The layout of the store is small-ish, but there is decent-size space for seating so you can sit and enjoy food with family and friends. This also creates an intimate and personal feel, as well as always being attended to when you need something.
I'm a regular, my family are regulars and I even got my family from Singapore when they came down here obsessed with the steamed wantons too. You can never get anything like this anywhere, and I'm usually the kind of person who goes around everywhere to try out wantons. Please never go away. I absolutely love...
Read moreMade the 50 min trip out here for dinner today and was so worth it. There was 9 of us with 3 kids under 5. We ordered 2 lots of the Chicken spring rolls (24) the Fried Wontons (16) Fried Chicken ribs (14) a large Chicken fried rice, 1 x Chicken noodle soup with wonton, 2 x Chicken noodle soup with Crispy fried chicken, Egg Noodle with Grilled chicken + small chicken soup, 650 gm boneless Fried chicken and two of the bubble teas. I must add that the boneless fried chicken and ribs is better than Gami, just without the sauces and it is meatier. There was a complimentary house sauce which I recommend (a bit spicy for kids) Anyways, everything was cooked to perfection and considering the order size was served very quickly! The service was friendly, attentive and fast with a side of humour which was well received. Had 3 takeaway containers to take the rest home 🐷 Parking is available in the centre car parks and there are toilets on site. VHM is a shared premises with two other eateries and is in the centre of the three. If you have a number of people it is a good idea to book ahead, they are VERY popular and get busy! One of my top five places to eat in Melbourne 🙂 —————————————————————— Im sad 😭 I forgot to take photos of the food because the everything was so amazing at lunch today! Flavours to die for. I had Crispy Fried Chicken wings and Egg Noodle Soup, Chicken Spring rolls, + Fried Wontons. We had party of six, everyone loved the food. Will defs be back again 😍 Staff are so attentive, friendly and accommodating. Premises and facilities are super clean. Next time I’ll...
