Via Verona — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have gone to this cafe on and off over the last ten years.

The cakes and coffee are pretty good. I have mostly gone there for breakfast though.

I cannot help but feel that the food is not as good as it once was though. Quite often, the food is a bit over cooked now sadly.

I hope that the standard improves as I quite enjoy going there.

An update to help others from my initial review.

I went there yesterday and ordered my usual breakfast. It was beautiful. Cooked to perfection. I promised one of the staff, that I would update my review. Done. Credit where it is due. If changes have been made, they are for the better.

The coffee and food at this café are excellent, always fresh and flavorful. While finding parking directly in front of the shop can be challenging, there’s ample parking available nearby, which makes it convenient. The staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick to serve customers, ensuring a pleasant experience. The venue itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, making it a great spot for families or groups to gather comfortably. An uninspired chicken parmigiana, didn't really have more than a hint it may have touched a tomato for a second during the cooking process. Only saved because the chicken itself was juicy. Not even 1/5 as good as the QPO parma.

Service was a shambles, the drink I ordered never came, wasn't even on the bill at least, but given the waitress said, "oh that's my favourite", you would have thought she could remember it. At least the staff are all friendly and pleasant to deal with.
