I ordered a take away penne bolognese (not via phone, I walked in to the store) from Buoy last night. My order WAS NOT repeated back to me, and I was told to come back in 10 minutes to pick it up (the restaurant was not busy). I returned in about 15 minutes, was handed an order in a paper bag, and paid my $18.50. I live in the general vicinity of Buoy, and walked home with my supposed penne bolognese. After arriving home I changed clothes, got myself relaxed, and opened my order. I had received an order of spaghetti pesto. I phoned the restaurant and told them that they had given me the wrong order, and informed them that I would come in today and discuss the problem. I would never have ordered pesto. Everyone I live with (besides myself) is a vegetarian, so I specifically ordered a meat dish for the protein. This is something I do a few times a week. If I had wanted spaghetti pesto, I would have made it myself. I returned today to Buoy in an attempt to resolve the issue. The manager was borderline rude, totally dismissive, and called me a liar. He stated that both the man I ordered from, and the lady who handed me my order, both told me it was pesto. This is a BLATANT LIE! If I had been informed, at any stage, that the order was pesto, I would never have accepted it. It is illogical of the Buoy staff to state that I was told I’d ordered pesto. The whole point of ordering food was to receive a meat dish. All I wanted the next day was a penne bolognese. I believe, after all the irritation caused to myself, and also the incompetence of the Buoy staff, that my request was not at all unreasonable. I even would have returned the pesto dish if they so desired. Instead, as I already stated, the staff BLATANTLY LIED, the manager was dismissive (almost to the point of rudeness), and I wasn’t even offered an apology for the ‘confusion’. Buoy staff and management are LIARS, do not endeavour to make their customers happy, and gave me an overall heinously shocking experience. My family have lived in Kew for a long time, and have ordered from Buoy many times in the past. However, after my latest experience, our family will NEVER return. Buoy staff are liars, management doesn’t seem to care in the slightest about customer satisfaction, and the food isn’t all that good (I just ate the pesto spaghetti for lunch, and it was bland and not up to par). WORST RESTAURANT IN MELBOURNE!!!!!!!! Don’t give these charlatans...

Seriously, your job is literally called 'hospitality'.... I get everyone has a bad day, but I work in hospitality and you NEVER speak to a customer the was I was just spoken to! So dissapointed because I love this place and gave it 5 stars and a great review(below) 12 months ago.. V dissapointed. Will now be ordering from 'Lina's pizza' for delivery in future!
THEN June/July 2018 This is our regular family joint. Always great staff and delicious food. Great value for money ( I always take left overs for dinner the next night!) Yes it is a bit daggy, but its a pizza pasta restaurant-one of the good ones! Highly recommend for an easy family night out. The kids can run around outside whilst you look on with wine in one hand and pizza...

This is the kind of pizza you dream of when you're wanting a slice and you're just so happy when you are eating it.
This is the kind of pizza you're happy getting in the car to go pick-up because Uber Eats is going to take too long.
This is the kind of pizza you pause mid-chew and look at your friends around your dining table and give out a muffled 'uhuh fsee I tolf you it wasf good' and then have another bite.
It's so delicious, so tasty, so much of what a pizza should be that we have now found ourselves ordering from here instead of our closer, walkable, local shop.
When you want to treat yourself with a pizza this is where you should go. Life is too short for less than...
