So after much waiting from the previous place at Footscray, the news flashed on my Facebook feed of the hot pot returns sent a smile as hot pot buffet in Melbourne are becoming extinct (RIP The Famous Chinese hot pot in Footscray). Now went there on Saturday, walk in anytime. Plenty of parking at the front strip and around. Plenty of staffs and shops looks clean, Asiantistic (I think I just made a word) and modern. They having discount on opening so it’s $49.80 a person. They do have menu for drinks and a la carte (Made to order) so got sui mai that pretty meat dense; they bought it out on plate and then a mobile steamer to heat it but would’ve love if they just serve it from the kitchen; after they remove the steamer, small pool of water was at the bottom where the steamer was so a bit concern in slippery. It’s nice they have the seafood display at the entrance. I attached the photo of what you get (This one is for 2 people) of the initial serving. Noted the meat is beef/lamb and you can also order pork (If I remembered corretly) There is a central bar that has green veggies, noodles, ice+3 colour drinks and on the side cream machine with cone. Also good amount of ingredient to make sauce. There’s a few option of soup before you start the 2 hours journey of food. Now obviously we living the post-Covid inflation so for the price it’s not the cheapest or the expensive but average. Not your go to everyday. Maybe a fortnight or special occasion with others. The only critiques I have are: - Would be good if there is like a single sheet of menu for buffet on what you can repeat order without additional charge from kitchen; the staff helped out on getting 2 more serves of lamb and I found out via asking you can get chicken egg & quail egg but not sure what else can be ask. - serving staff was good but felt slightly under knowledge of what can be done; maybe new open moments? - would be good to have side stand someone can put plate of food or send off plate; the table is wide buttons you stack up plates of ingredients & empty plates, feels a bit tight. Last and not least, this may be just me but was really hope they bring back the train line! That’s was like one of experience to go to back at the old place.

We went for dinner. It was a buffet option. You get little individual pots and you can pick what broth base you want. The broths were lacking in punch and flavour. My spicy and someone else's tom yum were very similar. They bring out a lot of protein and I believe you can ask for more. We couldn't even finish what they bought out. There's a vegetable, carb and sauce bar which was plentiful and topped up often. We went around 6pm on a Sunday and it was quite empty. So service was quick The thing that affected our meal was that there was some construction in the next room (still part of the restaurant) and there was still work being done with heavy machinery. So the very loud construction and grinding noises went on for more than half our dinner which really did affect our experience. And we were sat literally on the wall right next to the glass doors to the construction room. I couldn't even hear what my table was saying at times.

I had the Tom Yum soup base which was really nice. The flavor was not strong so it didn’t overwhelm the meat and seafood. There is also a sauce station where you can make your own dipping sauce. Complementary desserts include ice cream and sweet soup, i really enjoyed the sweet soup.

I follow Mike chén youtuber recipes. Sesame sauce, chive sauce but they dont have chive sauce so I made up the rest... pretty much your choice... I add garlic, coriander, spring onion, xo sauce and soy sauce with sesame sauce... Oh, there no rules on how big is your dipping sauce, so I use...
