MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT! The hype of social media plays a lot. Honestly had high hopes of trying out this place but I guess I had high expectations. There are 4 points to why this place sucked. First, the awful and depressing service on walk-in and order experience. Not a single joy moment and felt dystopian (except the lady who actually put effort in smiling, thank you). Which leads nicely to my second point, the vibes and atmosphere are insanely dead, maybe it’s cause of these guys horrible customer service. It really makes you question whether you want to dine into this place. Third, the food, I had the fried chicken w Spaghetti and a Pandan drink on the side. To be honest, the Pandan and spaghetti was pretty good hence why I’m giving this at least a 1 star. But the thing that really irritated me was the fried chicken. It was burnt and the skin was solid as concrete and plus it had no damn flavour! Like bro put some damn seasoning cause it was the most bland thing I ever had and eating it was a nightmare. Even tried my partners dish which was a chicken inasal, holy moly not even close and puts the dish to shame. It was nowhere near close to Filipino insasal, visually and taste wise. Honestly after trying all this food, it made me almost crave for those unhygienic reels I see on my Instagram that it almost made me want that rather than the dishes I tried at this place. Lastly, the price, if the dishes were good I wouldn’t mind paying. But after that experience, you’re getting robbed day and night. I have no clue how they’ve calculated their prices, it’s absolutely ridiculous. As a Filipino myself, I don’t recommend this place and suggest trying out the ones in the CBD as you’ll get your moneys worth for almost similar price but better...
Read moreI'm thrilled to visit this Filipino fast-food haven @st.burgs for burger 🍔lovers. They serve the original smash patties that I've heard so much about but never tried. Knowing they're Jollibee-inspired, I was eager to try their fried chicken too with high expectations. The ambience at St. Burg is modern and casual, with a clean and stylish interior that feels both welcoming and comfortable. It's perfect for a casual lunch, relaxed dinner, or a fun night out with friends and family. The spacious seating and trendy, urban decor add to the overall dining experience.
🔊ASMR Reel: Take a behind-the-scenes look at how they cook the food!
My Recommendations: 💥The Cheesy D: This burger is a chef's kiss. The slightly charred edges provide a crisp texture, while the patty remains juicy and well-seasoned. Topped with perfectly melted cheese, it's a testament to simplicity done right. 💥Honey Chipotle Fried Chicken Sandwich: This sandwich offers a delightful mix of textures. The crispy chicken, creamy sauce, and fresh, crunchy toppings come together to provide a satisfying bite every time. This sandwich definitely deserves a spot on your must-try list! 💥Fried Chicken with Gravy & Spaghetti: The spicy chicken is a thumbs up. Despite the crispy exterior, the chicken inside remains incredibly moist and succulent. The chicken is so flavorful that you don't even need the gravy. The spaghetti is very similar to Jollibee's, with a sweet-style tomato sauce, hotdogs, and ground meat, topped with grated cheese that adds a creamy element balancing the whole dish.
This spot has quickly become a favourite among locals, thanks to its...

⭐️ The Durger ⭐️ Onion Rings ⭐️ Chips ✔️ Birria Tacos ➖ The Filo Bento Box ➖ Honey Chipotle Chicken
St Burgs is a burger restaurant with two locations in Maribyrnong and Caroline Springs. It is home to Melbourne’s original smash patties and Filipino fast food, inspired by the culture of owners, the Soto brothers. 🍔
This has been a winner spot for their classic milk bun burgers since they opened in 2015, their “Durger” always hits the spot. Their seasoned cut chips and onion rings are a perfect accompaniment, washing everything down with a thick shake (I recommend the Vietnamese Ice Coffee flavour). This combo alone is a 5/5 for me. We did also try the Honey Chipotle Chicken, which had a decent heat to it but overwhelmingly sweet.
Available at the Caroline Springs store only, you can get their slow cooked, Filipino style beef rib asado Birria Taco’s and Quesadillas. The Tacos themselves are amazing, but the consommé was a bit too oily. They are unable to offer this at Maribyrnong simply due to the size of the kitchen. 🌮
They have a whole Filipino section of the menu, including their Bento Box inspired by Jollibees, which have more stores in the Phillipines than McDonald’s have in the USA. This has proven to be super popular, the whole store was packed with people trying it. 🇵🇭
It comes with a Durgersteak with mushroom sauce, Filo style spaghetti, rice and a thick shake, but the best part had to be the Fried Chicken, which was so crispy and moist. The rest.. I don’t think I’m the target market but...
