Hidden gem!
Delicious jokbal and bossam set, and fried chicken.
Staff were so hospitable, on the ball and attentive - from sensing we were open to their thoughtful advice, to guiding us to the perfect options for us, noticing and topping up the banchan (meticulously as well - noticed he did it hygienically), and finally the way he sorted takeaway containers for our doggy bags.
Generous portions, perfect fresh salad veggies (surpassing even good Vietnamese restaurants), cool snappy jokbal, saucy firm marble-fat fragrant bossam, delicious pickled onion, tender spicy spring onion, crisp white radish pickle, and tasty dipping sauces. And ‘just right’ flavours - not too sweet or salty while clear clean flavour cutting right through. Comfortable and cosy ambience as well on a cold winter’s night.
Special points too for clean and well provisioned toilet facilities, yet another proof of an all round ‘great attitude’ business.
Totally coming back and supporting- highly...

"Dosirock" means "lunch box" in Korean - kinda cute but ironic considering how most customers visit to grab soju with friends. Dosirock is known for their signature "Korean Pork Hock Plate" which includes heaps of banchan and spicy buckwheat noodles. We chose "Hot" and "Garlic" flavours with "Oyster Pancake" as a side. Large size (~$40) was big enough to feed 4 & diced pork hock was cooked perfectly - slightly chewy outside but soft and succulent inside. Soju went really well together as it washed down the oilness in your mouth (Pleasantly dangerous as I wanted to drink more and more lol). Spicy buckwheat noodles were also flavoursome and refreshing which complemented the pork hock beautifully. Unfortunately, oyster pancake wasn't that great - sub par. I'd love to try their soy pork...

The menu offered a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared.
I particularly enjoyed the kimchi, which had just the right balance of tanginess and spice. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful, while the bibimbap was a delightful mix of textures and tastes. The side dishes, or banchan, were also a highlight, showcasing the restaurant's attention to detail and commitment to quality.
