The Corporate Moose — Restaurant in Mildura

Went out for a friend's birthday party to have some dinner and some drinks. Food was amazing as per usual and the servers were great. Fast forward to further into the night. A few of the girls were leaving the bathroom and one of the girls had noticed that her friend had something on her shoe due to drinks being spilt in the bathroom and the floor being so sticky. She was trying to help her get it off in the hallway, and then they sat down at one of the tables inside to talk where it was quieter. A staff member then walked up to then and proceeded to say "I saw you with your vape. I saw you take it out and have a puff". She then explained that she was helping my friend with the stuff on her shoe, but he was adamant that he saw her and said that he could check the cameras. She then told him to check the cameras and that she promised that she hadn't, as soon as she said that he said "Don't stress, I believe you. We normally are asked to escort people out straight away for doing it but this is your first and final warning". We were all a bit surprised that he just straight out accused her of something that she didn't do without checking the cameras first. My friends and I have been to the Moose on many occasions and have never had any issues besides last night. I'd like to say that other than that staff member everyone...

Our table ordered 11 meals, 3 were served first, mine looked delicious, 20 minutes later I approached and asked if the other meals would be long, 10 minutes after that, still no meals, another person on the table asked if they would be long.......10 minutes later, STILL no further meals delivered to the table. We asked to speak with the manager. After a discussion, the manager had no apology for the error, placing the onus of the mistake on us. She did offer to ensure the meals were cooked straight away and, as my meal had been sitting for almost an hour because it is polite to wait until everybody has their meals before eating, offered to recook another meal for me. 15 minutes later the meals arrived bar my sons and my freshly cooked meal. Our meals took a further 15 minutes!!! And the meal they recooked for me looked like they had dropped it on the floor and scooped it up in the bowl. I would NOT recommend the Corporate Moose to any of my visiting family or friends, and will definitely not be returning anytime...

Drink range is good and atmosphere is good, food was varied from terrible (nachos) to really good (steaks). Ribs were average to good, I liked them another at my table thought they were too dry. Cocktails were good some staff had little experience so you could spend $15 on a cocktail that doesn’t fill the glass.

We booked a table for 6:30, had a drink and then stood in the food order line for over 15minutes, when we got to the front they told us that they were not taking any more orders for 30 minutes because the kitchen couldn’t keep up. Whilst in the line the people behind us were told this but not us, so when we got to the front of the line it was a bit frustrating to be told that.. so 7:15pm and you have to find a new place to eat? We did say to the staff that it’s not good enough, we are happy to wait for the food but they shouldn’t accept table bookings if they can’t serve them. The place looked less than 1/3 filled, so lord help them if they ever have a full house.

I’d go back for drinks...
