Highlands Merchant — Restaurant in Moss Vale

Today my daughter and I went to this place for breakfast. My daughter went to order the poached eggs two coffees and a bacon roll. To her dismay she was advised that the chef could not make a bacon roll as they do not make anything that is not on the menu. There was a "brekky roll" that is bacon and egg roll.

My daughter returned to tell me what had happened and that she would not eat. I was furious and told my daughter that we would cancel our order and go and eat at a place that is customer focused.

I advised the owner that I wanted to cancel the order due to the above. She said that she was not being rude but they do not change anything that is on the menu. I received my refund of $29.95.

I do not know of any business that treats customers in this manner and was quite disgusted in the approach that they took. Will never go there again and have been there numerous times for our coffee but not any more.

Ps My daughter cannot eat eggs due to food intolerance. So our business went to Bernie's Diner across the road who were more than willing to accommodate a bacon roll and cater to customers with food intolerances. We did not have to explain why we only wanted a bacon roll!

Driving into the picturesque town of Moss vale feeling as though it looked like something out of a fairy tale book. Beautiful gardens, clean fresh air and a peaceful ambience. I decided that this little cafe would be my pick to get a coffee and some breakfast as there are many to choose from, but this one just looked perfect. My partner and I walked in and we were greeted pleasantly as we looked at the " ready to go items " As we proceeded to the counter to order, the lady who was dressed ever so over the top barked out " what can i get you " I paused for a moment as I was still weighing up to order a medium or large coffee. On the note of this, as i didn't reply to her barking demand within seconds of her asking, the overly dressed lady continued to follow through with just taking someone else order !!! Such poor quality in service. The products looked amazing and the gentleman making the coffee was creating some great looking coffee, but the way we were brushed off because we didnt " immediately " reply to her question, that was a huge let down. Normally, you'd get a follow up question like " is there anything inparticular " i can help wiith .. not just looked over and for her to serve the customer behind us and smirk whilst doing so. Every time I order a cheese and tomato croissant take away with you it ruins my day. Previously ive had tomato chutney instead of tomato. Ive had green tomatoes instead of red. However, i thought id give you one last chance as my husband and I had just came back from a trip away and i really craving a simple

tomato and cheese croissant as he was getting a ham and cheese croissant. Well this time i gave strict instructions for my order so i would actually receive what i wanted. However even the most simple basic thing like getting good old Aussie Chedder with it as they do with the Ham & Cheese croissantit. I ended up with an American tastless bright yellow plastic varient!
