Has this business changed?
Last Saturday (15/07/2023), our visit was appalling (compared to previous visits in the past).
Firstly, the amenities (washroom) was closed for cleaning (at 1:30pm). Disappointing as this convenience was much appreciated (especially with a drive from Sydney). A simple wash of hands before tugging in would be good.
Secondly, all three(3) items were not the same: the cream bun (once rated the best) was drier, smaller (thatās okay as the price is the same) - but overall quality is lower; the plain meat pie, the pastry is all dried up and hard at certain places - not unenjoyable; the sausage roll, there was certainly too much ātomatoes sauceā in the mix.
Something has changed for sure and your once loyal repeat customer is here providing...

Southern Rise Bakery has two outlets in Moss Vale (located back to back). The rear entrance is a pit stop for tradies and the main street entrance more a dine-in cafe.
We enjoyed a Satay Chicken and a Bacon & Cheese pie. The bacon & cheese was the winner for us with a soft pastry and served at a perfect temperature.

And to cap it off she handled all the pies looking for my mexican pie and then after grabbing my beef curry, the lady behind the desk handle my pie put it in a pair of tongs and then into a paper bag...
