As I strolled into the Moss Vale Hotel Bistro, I was initially overjoyed by the heavenly aromas emanating from the kitchen. The food was nothing short of delectable, a symphony of flavors that set my taste buds alight. Highly recommend the Barramundi.

Despite the wonderful meal, my enthusiasm was dampened by an unfortunate encounter with what I can only describe as a real-life "Karen" - a blonde staff member with an attitude so sour it could pickle a cucumber. To add insult to injury, my drink arrived in a glass with a chip so large, I momentarily wondered if it was the latest hipster trend in glassware. It seems the hospitality extended towards the glassware wasn't as "chipper" as one would hope! Her hospitality was solely reserved for the ‘regulars’ that frequent the pub.

All in all, the Moss Vale Hotel Bistro is a gastronomic gem, marred only by the presence of a somewhat prickly pear of a staff member and glassware that might require a little extra chipping in the politeness department. Bon appétit and beware of the "chips" on and possibly in...

Unfortunately a bit disappointed with my meal, was looking forward to a lovely Easter dinner. Got recommended this place by a local at the IGA the morning of specifically for the steak. Got the rump with mushroom sauce as the other option was 400g and didn’t want that big of a portion. Unfortunately no other steak options. Found it a bit cold and not cooked as requested. It was listed as charbroiled but resembled pan seared. Salad was a bit average and the chips unseasoned, cold, and tough. Perhaps they were previously still a bit frozen when cooked? The staff were friendly and helpful, the chef may need higher quality ingredients. I would happily pay more for a better quality steak, chips, and salad. Won’t be returning and can’t recommend to others. Maybe I’m just a bit hangry but had higher hopes as a visitor getting recommended...

I had the vege burger but was disappointed. While the burger was higher and the chips were great, the patty just seemed a bit too floury. A shame because I've eaten here before and really liked it. My friend loved her carnivore dish. If you're picky about wines this is the place for you as they have an extensive wine list and even the house wine is good. Middle of the road cost.
