New Astor Cafe — Restaurant in Moss Vale

I’m not sure how this place has such good reviews. The ‘service’ is rude and unwelcoming and it appears to be an enormous annoyance for you to dare ordering food and an inconvenience for them to prepare it. The burgers were dry and flavorless with very little sauce. The Bundy Chicken burger was so dry and thin that it was difficult to discern whether it was real or processed chicken. The chips in our meal were nice and crispy, but cold and under seasoned. The bacon in both our burgers had all the life cooked out of it and was like a piece of cardboard in the burger. To be charged $50 for two burger meals of such low quality was disappointing to say the least. Sadly we went here on advice from a friend, but never again. We will go back to the Blue Lagoon further down the road where the burgers are huge and juicy and service...

Terrible service from large women working behind the counter, see was very rude and my food that was ordered was brought to me wrong.

They put chips with my chicken dinner with veg when it clearly says baked potato! I said i cant eat this as i'm on a diet. Another woman said we dont have any left but just persumed i would be happy anyway.

They said they would take all the chips away and replace it with more veg!! Carrots and peas.

Please never eat here they don't deserve...

Absolute rip off. $14.50 for a burger with lot... Okay great. With chips(tiny chips) and can drink "combo" $24.50... what???

Apparently they make you start with a standard "combo" and add options from there at $2.00 an option...

It is cheaper to get burger on its own, serperate chips, seperate drink. At least then you get decent sized chips.
