Kombucha Cafe — Restaurant in Murwillumbah

I love the calm here at Kombucha Cafe. Customers go about their business in gentle fashion, reflecting the humbleness of the atmosphere and staff. The kind of place where people can lounge with a book, trawl over a laptop or socialise with close friends. It’s really quite homely! Then of course there’s the delicious vegan, gluten free and fermented menu. Bright, flavourful and fresh (or fermented!) ingredients aplenty. I’m slowly discovering the menu, “The Stack” was an amazing start, the toasties filling with so much goodness packed into the Kombucha bread. We were passing by Muruwillambah on our way to Byron bay and we were very hungry and also needed a charging station for our electric car. Apparently all the restaurants and cafés were closed and kamboocham cafe was about to close as well. But the two ladies there were very helpful and they still serviced us with two very tasty vegan coconut tofu wrap which she also heated up for me. It was very tasty. They cafe is more a laid back for healthy food and drinks. I would go there again at a time when they are fully open and have some more of their goodies 😊

Such a lovely, comfortable chill feel about the place. Fabulous variety of options & all so full of colour, real flavour and genuinely nutritious… The Best Tumeric chai Latte ever !!!! Tried a ‘Scoby’ burger .. generous sized serving and tantalisingly tasty Sensationally fresh & fizzy kombucha both pine, lemon myrtle & mixed berry rosé couldn’t choose a favourite We Chatted with the delightful owner who lovingly interacted with our dog & has a lovely idea to accommodate for dogs in the winter… So grateful to have a restaurant like this nearby.. and it’s really nice to sit on decent furniture...
