BMX Burgers — Restaurant in New South Wales

My wife and I went for lunch on Sunday 6/6/21 for the first time, the shop itself only seats about 20 inside and a few tables outside, would be good if they had a few more tables? Perhaps outside or where the game machine/boom box is. The place was absolutely packed but we managed to grab a seat on the stools, although it seemed understaffed by atleast 1-2 people the lady on the counter was so friendly and apologetic when we stood there waiting to order (Whilst she answered the phone, made drink (including cocktail for anyone wondering), packed takeaways on top of having to take all the orders) she even took the time to bring us menus and explain it in detail, Once we ordered it took around 25 minutes for our food which was understandable considering the number of staff that were on. The guy that took our food out was super lovely and even remembered which burgers were which (they were pretty modified with only a slight difference) it showed he really cared about us as customers and didn’t just drop the food on the table and go. He asked if there was anything else he could get us and my wife asked for some dipping sauce, he was able to list around 10 different sauces and recommended the “truffle Mayonnaise” (which we went with and it was delicious) he came back and once again checked if he could get us anything and we didn’t have any cutlery on our table so he also went and got us some! The burgers themselves were delicious, meat and as juicy and slightly pink, which was to be expected considering how busy they were and the chips!!! The CRISPIEST I’ve ever had! Once we Finished our meal I used the bathroom and it’s pretty epic! (Make sure you go check it out) gave my compliments to the chef as I walked past (he was also super friendly and said Thanks even though he super busy)

The overall experience was awesome! -The food was as fresh as fresh and soo tasty, nice gf bread too. And did I mention the CRISPY CHIPS! -The staff were definitely A class and all had stunning customer service skills they could handle pressure exceptionally well. However the downfall was the volume of staff, they could handle it but they looked pretty stressed when not interacting with a customer. -The atmosphere and layout was pretty cool other then the lack of tables, even tho the game machine and boom box (maybe music deck?) we’re cool they could utilise that space with another 8-10 seats which would be good as people who wanted to eat in had to get take away or just didn’t order.

I’ve been a long time supporter of this pace for over 3 years. It pains me to write this but BMX have really dropped their standards. I put this theory to the test & the last three times (generally Friday or Saturdays) I’ve purchased from here the burger has been a big disappointment. The beef patty is always dry, over cooked and sometimes luke warm. The brioche bun has been smashed and at least 1-2 days old, lacking any sauce and put together on par with a maccas burger! That’s right, I said it! The last burger I got was the “Grouse”. Holy s*+t you couldn’t mess up a burger more. This states it’s meant to have 12 hour braised beef brisket. My piece was tiny, disgusting, dry & tougher than steel. Brisket is meant to be moist, juicy and fall apart in your mouth. Guys, please pick up your game. Not sure what’s going on with your kitchen but it definitely ain’t the same place. Whether you’re under the pump and rushing your food, you need to take a step back and deliver those awesome burgers. Do not replace quality with quantity. For now, I’ll be giving this place a break. I really hope you get back...

BMX Burgers is one of a akind. The outlets each have a seating area out front, facing the walkway. Order and pay up front at the counter, then find a spot to sit with your order number. Seating is outside and outside, i loved the VHS box menu

The overall effect is noisy and fun, a sort of upmarket food court. Patrons don't linger over their meals ... in fact, at busy times, prospective diners use the "staring" method to encourage people who've finished eating to move on and free up the space!

BMX Burger has a limited menu of half-a-dozen or so burgers, including meat and vegetarian options.

I ordered the BOSS burger, chips, and a couple of sauces on the side. Food was freshly cooked and delicious. The only issue is that the wooden table numbers are hard for the servers to see ... our burgers did a bit of a tour before arriving with us! But that is literally the only fault I can pick.
