Club Umina — Restaurant in New South Wales

After hearing about this place,thought we would give it a go and checked it out last night. Apron arrival for the dinner buffet service and the line was out the door!!Hubby and I looked at each other and said clearly this was the place to be,very understaffed sadly but they did as best as they could. So we paid $91.00 for 2 adults 2 children.we would have been there for no more than 1.5hrs The Chinese was great, as we proceeded to the roast meats and vegetables it was very clear that it was all down hill from here(the meat was over cooked and swimming in liquid) and the vegetables well they started running out. My son was look forward to having some spaghetti and as they put out the pasta he waited for 10 minutes for the sauce ,he waited some more and I asked when we’re they bringing it out??he said No More Sauce.🤔 I spoke to one of the ladies who worked there.How can you charge this sort of price for families and run out of food within 45mins it’s not right.. We are staying at the nearby caravan park, and decide we would go to the Club Umina for dinner. We had been there before when travelling like now, (but it was pre Covid) and remembered we had had a nice meal there. Sadly not this time. I ordered a chicken schnitzel with Dianne sauce, the schnitzel was so over cooked the crumbs shattered on cutting, the wafer thin chicken meat inside was like cardboard. The Dianne sauce just tasted like gravy and needed salt. My hubby ordered T Bone steak medium rare, the steak was grey as if it had been steamed, it was over done and tough. I enjoyed visiting Club Umina all the staff were all friendly and the all You can eat buffet they have every Wednesday night in the bistro area near front reception. The buffet serve Chinese, seafoods, deserts small cakes also Pavlova. They also have a bar in this area. Over all the atmosphere is very quiet pleasent to enjoy whilst dinning with family or friends and people are not talking very loud or the sports on the tv are not blaring loud to other clubs. I will visit the club again when holidays or visiting down for weekends getaways. Also good the club has it's OAD Lest We Forget plays every...
