Umina Beach Cafe — Restaurant in New South Wales

Very disappointed yesterday. Was at the beach with my family of 6 so decided to go up and get something to eat at this cafe. The location is amazing and I have had a coffee here last year when I was there (we only come once a year as a family). There were not many people there at this time (2pm) yesterday so we decided to sit in. We ordered food and we noticed people who had arrived after us getting there food before us. We were only getting fish and chips and calamari and chips so nothing too gourmet. After 45 minutes and my son actually going up and just asking politely when it would be coming, if arrives. And for the $15 per plate we could not believe how small the serves were and the poor quality. There were so many chips on the plate and very little else. We wanted table water but it never came. So it was extremely overpriced mediocre food. Staff were lovely but I would not buy food...

I just came for lunch with my daughter and friend and the food i ordered was disgusting! It was overcooked and the chips tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil, my daughter who is 3 and is obsessed with chicken nuggets even she said it wasnt nice and wouldnt eat it so I went to talk to them about it and asked for a refund as i was not satisfied with any of the food and before i could even explain what was wrong i was basically yelled at by this man i can only assume is the owner that there was nothing wrong with the food and that i wasnt getting my money back. This cafe is as disgusting as its owners attitude and doesnt even deserve the title of cafe... its just a dirty fish and chip shop that has a coffee machine and halfwit workers that talk down to you. Never again...

Been going to this Cafe for years, and was verbally attacked by the owner and called a fool in front of my children because I basically wasn't wearing a masked and I advised of medical exemption which he demanded... which happens to be against the privacy act section 94H and is a criminal offence. Then proceeded to ban me from his business which is also against the discrimination act and is also a criminal offence. There was absolutely no need for the treatment that I received in front of my children who by the way were quite upset, then told I was a poor father as well because I swore.
