When we arrived, we were seated and then greeted by Dominic, who made us feel as though we more than just customers, we truly felt like we were family in his home. After a brief discussion about the menu and a little bit of family history, we asked for a suggestion for the first course and accepted the offer to try the Polpette, Porcini Mushroom Arrancini and the Signature Arrancini.
When the amazingly creative parcels arrived at our table we were in awe of each of the intensely unique flavours represented.
The mains arrived perfectly timed and once again we were astounded by the depth and complexity of the flavours. The six hours that the lamb shanks cooked were well spent as the slow cooking created a beautifully flavoured harmony like a perfectly written and played concerto. In unison, our taste buds sang the praises of the perfect balance of the herbs and red wine’s essence. To say that the experience was ethereal, would be grossly understated.
We selected the Gamberi as our second main that we would share. The King Prawns were incredibly fresh and the cherry tomato sugo was intense yet perfectly balanced. With just a hint of chilli, it created an added warmth that helped to bring attention to the other gently rounded flavours.
Smooth and robust coffee as well as an incredible sticky date pudding punctuated the meal’s perfection.
As we were departing, Leanne, made sure our visit was perfect and spoke glowingly of how they deeply live and breath in the community of East Gosford. To us, this speaks volumes of the character of Fedele’s, its owners and how they aren’t just ‘in’ the community, these wonderful people are part of East Gosford, a truly integral part of East Gosford.
Don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise, Fedele’s in East Gosford is an exceptional family operated restaurant whose menu is authentically Italian, perfectly executed food as well as service and whose team obviously loves what they do. Dominic and Leanne deserve our support and I assure you, we be visiting...
Read moreWhy is the pizza so wet? We got pickup in late November (our pizza was also really small and frustratingly the only size available) - we ordered the reggio. The box was disintegrating in the middle with how wet the pizza was and it was like this at the point of pick up as well. Absolutely not worth the price and we would not recommend this establishment - trying the ramen place in the same complex instead!
In response to the business's reply, I didn't say we ordered delivery or Ubereats—we ordered pick-up for takeaway. And the box was wet upon pick-up, sagging in the middle. So the food was presumably fresh and hot when we picked it up, meaning the oil was also fresh and hot, and not just the result of pizza sitting in a box too long. Second, Google prompts users to review randomly for points, which is why this review appeared later than our delivery. That’s a completely normal thing and also a weird nitpick for Fedeles to comment on. Thirdly, variety in size is very standard for pizza places. It's dissatisfying not only that that you wouldn't have more sizes to select from, but that you charge such an exorbitant price for what is a smaller than average pizza. I know all restaurants have margins determined by quality, but I shouldn't be hungry after I finish a whole expensive pizza.
We would have given Fedeles another shot by dining in but purely based on the business's response to this review, we wont be doing that. Customer service is the cheapest win for a business but you've lost your chance to have my review amended with a...
Read moreAbsolutely superb! i could be slightly biased though as i was breaking a 72 hour fast with this meal so i reckon an old boot with some sauce would have seemed amazing. but my dad thought his food was superb as well and he is not one to give praise at all so that is a very rare thing. Service was prompt and friendly and i cant fault them. the ambiance was only let down by the noise, polished concrete is not my ideal restaurant floor due to the echo and noise and this is what took small amount of enjoyment away from my night. As my dad is in his 80s he doesn't exactly talk as loudly as he once did and combined with the noise of the restaurant it made the evening quite a concentration fest to make out what he was saying. But all in all i was very pleasantly surprised and i cannot wait to come back to eat here again. when i do i will update the review so you know it wasn't just me being insanely hungry update Second visit was equally as nice. Took my mum out for her birthday dinner and the food once again was delicious. The service was quite as good as we had one of the younger more inexperienced waiters but he was polite and courteous but didn't have the confidence and charisma as our first host but im sure in time he will be great as he nailed all the basics, just didn't have the confidence yet. Mum loved it all which is all that mattered on her birthday. So you guys are at two superb nights from two with me. Will be happy to...
