Delicious food, the three of us had the banoffee waffles, the yolko ono and the bee sting bagel as well as a few of their drinks.

I will preface with saying it is rare for me to leave such a positive and glowing review, my past as a professional food critic all but leaving the process feeling like work, but this cafe is worthy of making those rare exceptions, to be short they are one of the best I've been to in a very, very long time! Easily one of the best in Australia!

First off - bee sting bagel is a must try!!! The balance of sweet and savoury was perfectly kept and the flavours perfectly popped and highlighted the fresh bagel, speaking of, best bagel I've had outside of the US! Proper in house baked and fresh! The bacon was crisp and flavoursome, you can tell that love was put into every aspect of this, warning though, it is very sticky so make sure you bring a hand wipe.

The banoffee babe waffles were caramelized beautifully and are perfect for a sweet tooth, with nice crisp and soft sections within the waffle itself, they were also HUGE! Very good value, the bananas were fresh and again a loving focus on balance.

The Yolko ono I did not get to try, this was because my partner had thoroughly enjoyed them but remarked that they were nice and creamy with a delicious yoghurt sauce, based on her reaction these were likely also very impressive and delicious, she cleaned the sauce from the bowl leaving not a drop on the plate.

As for drinks, we tried the blueberry matcha, the tangerine and passionfruit spritz, the sour strawberry spritz, the ube latte and the watermelon juice.

The drinks were all wonderful! The matcha blueberry was a great combo of the bitterness of fresh matcha and the sweetness of the house made blueberry syrup, the spritz both tasted refreshing and again a perfect combination, the ube latte was one of the better ones we've had in Australia, not over sweet like many of the powdered ones we've found.

The staff were accommodating, friendly and all seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, were happy to have a quick chat but also keep satisfying and serving other clients, a very good mark of their professionalism! If you're in the area check Green tangerine out for their all day menu is sure to satisfy whether it be breakfast, brunch or lunch, one of the best cafes I've been...

The Green Tangerine is everything you want in a Cafe and more.

Locals know it as the weekend go to for outstanding food and coffee.

With a wide range and selection of Coffee that are made to a good quality and standard often offering unusual weekly specials for those feeling a little more adventurous.

The menu is broad enough to cover the scope of what you'd expect at a breakfast/lunch cafe. Pricing is fair but competitive.

Theres no space to complain about portion size with whichever meal you choose leaving you full and satisfied. Meals are plated well worthy of your instragram storties.

Theses little space for error in taste and/or prep at a breakfast/lunch cafe which staff clearly recognise by providing high quality meals in reasonable time frames.

It also serves as an artisan bakery for the bread connoissseur's of the coast, for which there are many.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and are sure not to disappoint.

Seating can be limited so if you're thinking of attending on weekends be sure to book ahead. During weekdays however you can generally always find yourself a table with in- door and outdoor tables available. Id recommend an indoor table myself.

There is plenty of parking with a generous sized carpark available at the rear of the cafe off Thompson St which will always have spots available

In summary The Green Tangerine is a well know local treasure to which i'd recommend to anyone...

I have done hundreds of reviews on cafes and restaurants in many different countries and I can honestly say this was the best breakfast I have ever had. The service was excellent fast and friendly. But the food was absolutely 5 star. They accommodated our vegan request and the serving size was more than generous. The potatoes with cheese were stunning, what a great surprise to have sweet potato as well and perfectly roasted. The salmon was very generous size and made into a rose shape. The beans were very different and delicious. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Generous size tasty mushrooms and lots of avocado. Bread was delicious. We also had the dragon fruit and passion fruit smoothie that was delicious and elegantly served with a dragon fruit crisp on top. Nice to sit outside in the sun. Absolutely loved the idea of the build your own breakfast choosing individual items from the menu. Also loved how the potato and beans were served separately in bowls and not on the bread Loved the fresh dill on the eggs. 🙌 Reasonably priced considering the portion size. We rarely leave a breakfast so full. My first time eating here and definitely not the last. Congratulations to all the staff for such an incredible job and my best review ever in hundreds. I Highly recommend this...

My wife and I visited the Green Tangerine on a weekday for lunch and it’s an easy 5/5. There are menus at the front door and it’s an ‘order at the counter’ kinda place which is fine. Unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of the menu however there’s one already on Google maps and it’s up to date (price wise). I ordered The Bruce. A bacon and egg roll, but it also had tomato, spinach, avo and garlic aioli. Really good. Slightly messy, but you could taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Really impressed. I also had an ice coffee which was good. My wife ordered the smashed avo on toast which had lots of pleasing colours and flavours. The tang of the labneh was complimented by the smooth avo mixed with nutty dukkah and tasty pesto. The banana smoothie hit the spot with a lovely hint of cinnamon. All really tasty and great quality. There are also baked goods and pies available to purchase from the front counter. We didn’t buy any but they looked good. The place is fairly small, but they have a fair amount of indoor and outdoor seating and the general vibe is great, and staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Would go back again.
