The first time I walked into Savoy, I was completely enchanted. Ever since it reopened under new ownership, it’s become my absolute favorite place to hang out. The atmosphere is something special—warm, vibrant, and inviting—and the staff are so friendly and approachable. Whether it’s a buzzing night or a quieter one, they’re always happy to chat and make you feel at home. The venue itself is stunning, especially the theater-style room upstairs. It’s used brilliantly for cinema nights, private events, and, most importantly, live music. This is where Savoy truly stands out. The variety of music is incredible—you can sip a cocktail while enjoying a soothing acoustic session or dance your heart out to a rocking heavy metal band. Visited in a Thursday night for a couple drinks. Was thoroughly satisfied by my visit. The welcome from the staff was second to none. They all were very friendly and keen to have a chat but knew when the conversation was over, a great skill for a bartender. They offered us a surplus serve of brownies and ice cream which I kid you not was the best brownie I’ve ever tasted and I’ve tasted a few in my time (I’m a brownie lover). I live about an hour and a half away from this bar however would not be too opposed to making the drive just to come visit again.

Furthermore the choice of music was exceptional for the atmosphere. A great volume and selection of modern and classic hits. A couple people even got up to have a bit of a boogie 🕺🕺.

The new ownership has really done wonders for this joint! Kev has really put a lot into the business and it shows.

The bar staff are welcoming, down to earth but professional, you can tell they really love what they’re doing and want to make you a drink you’ll be impressed with. (This is the only place on the coast I’ve been served a Negroni I’ve truly enjoyed)

My partner and I ordered some food too and we loved the selection, a small menu but exactly what you’d want to be snacking on while having a few drinks.

Overall I’m really impressed and happy long jetty finally has a Bar where you’ll get a good drink and enjoy the overall feeling of the place.
