Jamaica Blue Tweed City Shopping Centre — Restaurant in New South Wales

Disappointing not to receive meals close together. All 5 meals were hot dishes, ordered at the same time on the same docket, and paid for at the same time in 2 transactions. Two toasties, 1 filo, 1 BLT, 1 smashed avo, bacon n poached egg. 1 toastie + filo came at the same time, but no other meals appeared. Second toastie came as the first 2 meals were finished being eaten. The BLT came when the 2nd toastie was finished, and the smashed avo, bacon n poached egg came when that meal was half-eaten. Awful that people were waiting for food while others had long-finished when all was ordered together. Really disappointed as we were a family group meeting for lunch together and thought Jamaica Blue was a reliable venue. Other hot meals appeared at neighbouring tables which appeared to be later arrivals, which certainly didn't look good. Would not choose this venue again for more...

The manager of the cafe is very honest. I had picked a different dish from the menu originally and he told me that he didn’t have great feedback on it. He stated that he didn’t want me to waste my money. This showed me he really cares for his customers which was nice.

The setup of the cafe is nice, unfortunately the staff do not clean the tables regularly. I was originally given a napkin with one knife and no fork. Of course this isn’t a big deal. It’s just these tiny details is what made me give it three stars.

Busy little cafe, but this doesn’t mean the basics of service can be ignored. After waiting at the register patiently, I was not greeted. The table number was thrown on the counter in front of me and I was nodded at. Ordered a coffee and croissant to takeaway, and was told - “too long to wait on food”. I asked how long? And was advised too long for that… more than 15mins. My husband tried to show some empathy and said mate it looks like you need someone to help cook. He was advised we don’t need more staff. Even though they were obviously very busy. We appreciate being advised of wait times, but not in an abrupt manner that is trying to talk you our of ordering your food. So we decided to cancel and...
