This place is a traditional old school fish and chippery. The owners, from what I gather have been here for decades and are lovely hospitable people. This place takes me back to my childhood. Huge portions, very reasonable pricing. You can tell it's not just stock standard supplier bought seafood. They must prepare and batter it themselves because I have NEVER seen a calamari so thick and big before. Looks like the potato scollops are also hand cut. The fish is massive. 1 fillet would have been plenty for 1 person. I got the 2 fish pack, it was only $15 and would easily feed 2 people. I couldn't finish it. I also ordered 2 calamari and could only finish 1. Everything is so generously portioned. It was a little on the oily side but on saying that everything was cooked to perfection and tasted really fresh didn'ttaste like it was cooked from frozen. Impressive. It's a must...

Old Dennis has not disappointed us. We were wondering if it really was as good as we remembered - and it was. The product is cooked to perfection, huge portions, crispy, and amazing value for a two fish meal for $15 - the two potato scallops, (actual potato slices) were just a bonus.
We will definitely be back, making it a once a week sojourn. (We visited one Wednesday when he was closed - and tried the competitor just a few doors down. Not bad. Just not great. Wouldn’t go back...
