Oporto Cessnock Drive Thru — Restaurant in New South Wales

Cessnock Oporto was absolutely disgusting at 5:30pm on Sunday 9th June 2024. It was very obvious they were low staffed - we can’t praise Maya enough for the effort and steps she covered to make sure everyones orders were taken promptly (drive through and counter) and that everyone was served their food, packed neatly in their bag. She was polite and patient even though she was rushed off her feet. Seemed as though there was only 1 other staff member helping her (cooking out back) Give that girl a pay rise, she deserves it for keeping the restaurant running this night alone!

The restaurant was an absolute mess, rubbish on the floor, over flowing bins and dirty dishes everywhere. The bathrooms were actually cleaner than the restaurant.

This Oporto in particular is generally a little messy and slow whenever we go there but this night was by far the worst.

App did not work, went through drive through to order, ordered what we wanted and explained the app didn't work. Was told it would be a wait for skewers. Asked to substitute for a different meat choice (tenders) Was told "yup, can do with tenders" Upon waiting at the window for near on 15 minutes, were given our order total of double the amount ($19 instead of $10) When questioned, was told that the tenders were the bondi tenders and the item which we had asked for could not be ordered (app only, even though we had double checked if it was ok to order) We then requested the skewers instead, and were told that they no longer had any. Left without the order and went to maccas over the road. Absolutely useless staff and disgusting service ability, complete...

Staff got meal wrong took it back for them to fix. Half an hour later. They still hadn’t brought my meal out and had to ask them again. During this time we watched 4 other groups also receive the wrong meal and be fixed in 5 minutes. These groups also received free desserts brought out to their tables for their whole groups. When we finally got the our meal replaced is was messy and served in the take away wrapper when our original was brought out on a plate, and as were the other groups meals that were replaced and we were not offered any compensation like the others.
