Tamworth Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in New South Wales

A bit pricey for what it is but a nice experience with good service. We had four dumplings, 4 spring rolls with a bottle of sav blanc and two phos, one beef and the other chicken. The problem is that they use cheap cuts of meat in the pho, this is not alright. Chicken pho should have nice lean cuts of breast and beef but they used something else, the chicken tasted like thigh… My partner had fatty sausage in her beef pho, that’s plain silly and gross. The sausage made the stock taste like fat so we drowned it with condiments. The bean sprouts were old and they were also cooked, they’re meant to be fresh and crunchy, how hard is it to use fresh bean sprouts? Both phos had two much noodle and not much balance with meat. The bowls aren’t the appropriate size for eating pho, you need wide deep bowls so you can layer it with the basil and sprouts. The wine was a reasonable price but it’s only really a $10 bottle so think they could improve here but sadly this is where most restaurants make their money. Had a great entree of Tom yum soup and steamed buns but the main courses were ineatable, we had the salty pepper squid and caramelized pork ribs the squid was like rubber and had an awful flavour and the pork was clearly old on the verge of being off when I mentioned this to the young waiter he just said he would "let the chef known" that wasn't the answer I wanted but he still charged me for the meal even though we had hardly touched the food, not...

Every-time i go in, the lovely friendly staff are always first to talk to me. Ask me questions and make sure i know how long i am waiting and its always in my bag when they say it is.

Its always busy, but they’re getting tables and customers out extremely fast and professionally. it smells amazing and i cant wait to dine in.
