Hissy Fits Cafe — Restaurant in New South Wales

This is the worst place if you want efficient friendly service. My wife went there today to purchase some takeaway and when questioned why it took so long when (they had no one else to serve the staff were very rude) and said it was in the oven??? it was toasted banana bread not a roast dinner! After getting her order my wife was so upset that after she walked outside she turned around and took the banana bread back as she had lost her appetite. A male staff member started heading towards her and abused her and in a loud voice. My wife was already traumatized by personal issue involving family members in a car accident. My wife said nothing to him just left the premises and vowed never to step foot in there again. Please people think before you open your mouth! As I am not able to respond to your I am replying here.... my wife did not abuse anyone and did not throw her order back at anyone instead put it on the counter. If you were the male staff member that came at her and telling her to 'wake up to her yourself' for returning an unwanted product then you better think again about what you post here. Yes everyone has issue to deal with in life but they don't need people like you compounding those issues. I certainly believe my wife over you. I understand that they had been busy during the day, the waitress made sure we knew they had 'been slammed' but that doesn't excuse bad service and overpricing. We were informed that they had no chocolate, juice nor smoothies, so two of our kids settled for vanilla milkshakes. After quite some time the girl came back to say they had no vanilla. When asked what they did have she seemed not to know and failed to find out for us. The menu stated no changes to dishes. I get this when they're really busy but not when they were as quiet as they were. We asked for a second round of table water which never came. Menus, food and drinks were all but thrown on the table. Hot coffee was handed over the head of one of our kids. So, after not being able to get anything we wanted to eat and two kids without drinks as nothing they liked was available and awful service we paid $57 for two strawberry milkshakes, two relatively small bowls of chips and four rather unpleasant coffees and we ended up at Hungry Jacks to...

The food is fantastic, the tall server with the curly blonde hair is always lovely and the decor is interesting. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the barista that made my coffee today or her lack of cross contamination awareness. I got a coffee today and watched her rinse the inside of a jug that had previously been used for cows milk, pour almond milk into it, heat it using a filthy steamer that was caked in old cows milk, try to use a stirrer from a jug that I had watched her use in cows milk then roll her eyes at me when I asked her not to use it. I ended up throwing the coffee away (thankfully it was a free coffee). Most people who get coffees with alternative milks don’t do it because it’s trendy, they do it because they can’t tolerate cows milk. I had been sick in the past after having breakfast here but didn’t think the reason would be from cross contamination...
