Cowper Street Diner — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

What a sneaky little gem of a restaurant. The menu has something for everyone. We had a pizza and a counter-lunch favourite, crumbed lamb cutlets and Wow! Both meals were delicious. The lamb cutlets really surprised with a dash of aromatic tomato relish, divine garlic mash and perfectly cooked fresh broccolini. We were even able to get a glass of decent bubbly and a craft beer. Friendly atmosphere, delicious food....

I feel sad leaving this review. I've given it a few chances here and it's disappointing every time. Last time a pretty sad/dry/flavourless burger. The most recent being gravy that tastes like ash or burnt toast ? Very weird but couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. Tough and bland snitty.

The customer service was also pretty sub par. I felt like I was an inconvenience when...
