Jamaica Blue Jesmond — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

My support worker and I just had the worst experience!! My support worker went up to order my food for me (it was very nice of her to do that.) She came back and told me the price of the meal. (My money was used for my meal.) I realised that the money I used was all I had left so, I went up to get a refund. Then, when I got my money back, my support worker told me that one of the staff members approached her and was talking to her in a firm voice!! Apparently by the time I was getting my refund, the food was already plated out!! I am absolutely disgusted that someone even has the audacity to come up to her and do this!! YOU SHOULD NOT GIVE ANYONE GREIF IF THEY WANT A REFUND!! IF SOMEONE WANTS A REFUND BECAUSE THEY CAN’T AFFORD THE FOOD, WHETHER THE FOOD HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE OR NOT, DON’T APPROACH THE CUSTOMER TO AND GIVE THEM SHAME!! WE ARE NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!! I AM TELLING MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT TO COME HERE AND I AM GOING TO MANIFEST THIS PLACE GOING BANKRUPT!!

I meet with friends at least once per week at Jesmond Central Jamaica Blue. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff....they manage to always anticipate my order and serve it exactly as I would like it.... perfect and timely. I always include a large, flat- white coffee, very hot and with no froth. This always arrives exactly as required. Linda, Clara, Lois and support staff are a pleasure to meet each week, I also have morning tea twice a week at Westfield, Kotara Jamaica Blue and there, except for a staffer called Belinda, always end up with a coffee which is lukewarm, frothy or both. Thank God for Jesmond , the excellent staff and the quick, friendly satisfactory service. Well...

I saw a huge takeaway coffee cup - when I asked, I was told that I could get one! I really needed a coffee!😆 So it was $8...it was huge, and I thought it was worth it. Regardless of the coffee (and I've always quite liked the coffee served at Jamaica Blue cafes I've been to, so I wasn't surprised to like this one), the staff were super friendly and we had a nice chat. I was having a busy day and it was nice to talk to happy people.
