I done a Uber delivery so some questions like (atmosphere in restaurant, staff & plated presentation) I can't answer, however, I called w question about spicy food etc and lady tried to help answer what she could so appreciation for that!! BUT i can say: YUM 🤤💯 Definitely recommend!! the portions despite being in plastic containers were as expected and decent size, it's hard to order especially with no photos (lol for me anyway) but I risked it and glad I did, it ALL tasted so good we ordered: normal fried rice, prawns garlic sauce, Mongolian LAMB, a chicken &sweet corn soup and pieces of chicken with sweet sour sauce (can choose out of 5 different sauces) it was really really good to all round Definitely recommend 👏 thankyou staff at Papillion amazing food and help 🙂 love and support from a fairly close local will definitely be back to Uber order again...
Read moreI have had a LOT of Chinese food over the years. I've eaten it in England, Ireland, America and even in China.
But none have come close to the fusion menu offered by Papillon in Cooks Hill. The traditional Chinese / Taiwanese food is outstanding. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
By far the best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle, and better than any I've been to in Sydney.
Highly recommended dishes: 🤗Gong Bao Ji (stir fried chicken & veg in the best sauce ever) 🤗Mei Cai Kou Rou (steamed pork belly with pickle veg) 🤗Xian Su Ji (Taiwanese style deep-fried chicken) 🤗Shui Zhu Niu (tender beef in chili oil) 🤗Beef & Vegetable Stir-fry
And my personal favourite ... drum roll please 🥁🥁🥁
🤗🤗🤗Hua Dan Xia Qiu (king prawn with juicy egg)
YUMMY YUMMY...
